This reminds me of a news article some years ago where a guy was going around a curve on a country road when suddenly, out of nowhere, a motorboat came skidding along the road and hit him head on, totaling his car. It turned out that an oncoming car towing a boat trailer had entered the curve from the opposite direction at too high speed, jack-knifed and rolled over into the ditch. In the process the boat had separated from the trailer and continued its journey through the curve. It took a lot of explaining before the guy at the insurance company understood (and believed) exactly what had happened.

Hey there, I’ve got a serious question for you. I think everybody would agree that spirited driving contributed to the near miss, but I’m still trying to understand the steering component. As you were exiting the intersection, it looks to me as if you unwrapped your lock too far, and that’s what put you in the bank. Why exactly did you unwrap it that far? It kinda looks as if you were either worried that you were about to cross the center line or you just misjudged how much lock you needed to unwrap in order to get the front wheels pointed straight again.
