We leased one of these in 2003 for $299 a month nothing down. Such a great sound and one of the best looking mustangs ever.

The first Mustang that convinced me to own one was this one, the 99'-04' New Edges. My mom owned an 04' convertible. I now have my first dream car, 5.0 14' convertible, my little brother has his first car, 3.7 17' and my dream is a New Edge 03/04 Cobra, it will stay my dream til I own one. My fav body style is the one I have, 13/14 S197, best sounding is the 4.6 2V and Cobra 4V. Best GT500 is the current one, 2020. Would love to own a classic 65' or 69' as well. One of my closest co-workers, who always influences me on the stangs, has an 01' non-supercharged Saleen and his son has a '16 GT with Borla ATAKS. It's a TRUE Mustang Lifestyle for me.

Love the 99-04 body style. I personally got a 2003 gt convertible with slp loudmouth 1's and it sounds great

Off-road mid pipe (no cats) is a must for these cars. Really brings out that 2v sound.

I like the SN95's but the early 05-09 S197's are my favorite. I love the big retro style look of them.

Pretty sure my dads was a 04, maybe an 03, hard top in gun metal gray. Was too young to care about brand name, I just remember the angry noises made me happy. Dad sold it soon after, never got to enjoy it as a teen. A few years ago he had a 2012 5.0 in blue. The borla cat back and cai was amazing. Then he sold it. Just recently he got a 2020 5.0 in cocaine white. I asked when he was gunna order a borla and all he said was “soon”. Love that guy. Just wish I still had my 91 Camaro, so even tho I cannot keep up with him, we’d still enjoy our coupes. I’ll get one again. Soon.🤙🏽

Definitely the New Edge Mustangs ! I've had 4 Foxbodys, love them but the New Edge wins hands down IMO over all newer style Mustangs. It's about the same size as the Foxbody, just more sleeker, not so squared off. The 4.6 2V is a very nice engine as well but a coyote in one of these cars is an absolute BEAST. As far as the exhaust, definitely the black one. The magnaflows have a nice, clean raspy sound. I don't care for the loud straight pipe truck sound.

Flowmaster is the best exhaust system on this generation of mustang

My personal favorite body style is the 2010-2014 one. The second gen of the retro look. With that said, the new edge, retro and newest body style all look fantastic

Spending money on Magnaflow Street mufflers was a waste of money, better off leaving the stock mufflers on. Muffler delete was well worth it.

Black Mustang is clean, classy, mellow-deep ton, but needs bigger tips. Red one sounds awesome with the cracks and pops after the revs!

The blue tips need to stay on the ricer vehicles. Sounds pretty good though

I find the new generation ugly. Give me a fox body with a coyote in it and I'll be fine. As for the exhaust the first one sounds way better. Nice and mellow. The second one sounds like crap.

I am currently swapping a 408 Windsor in a ‘99 New Edge. The engine will have a healthy cam but I want the car to be a bit of a sleeper. Thanks to this video I’m going to go with the 14 inch Magnaflows.

I'd like to get the exhaust redone with something that's quite at cruising speeds until you get on the gas. Do you have any recommendations and can I schedule a install. I live in Virginia now but will be visiting my kids just after Christmas.

I have an 02 Gt with 54k miles on it. Bbk shorty headers, bbk off road x-pipe, borla atak cat-back. Also a few other mods but it is really loud

the magnaflow is more of my type smooth and professional sounding perfect for a daily the straights arent bad sounding either but over time id get annoyed as a daily but as a weekend car itll work

New are nice and look good BUT i personally like the 99-04 body a lot more specially the cobra models

First one sounded so weak Second one isn’t straight piped, but it sounds better though

I like the 99-04 body.. But by far the best Mustang is the 87-93 fox body hands down

I have a 2002 GT been thinking about exhaust setups for it and after hearing the straight piped one I might go that route that sounds amazing.

I think the guy with the very low miles Mustang should have not done any mods. I would have kept it the same and sold it for a lot of money at the worlds most famous Car Auction. It is worth a lot of money in about 10 years if he can revert it back to stock.

Me personally I love the sn95 and the 06-ish 3v can’t stand fox body or new mustangs

An off-road mid pipe is a must on these cars especially when paired with Flows, Stingers, or Magnapacks.

Straight pipes almost always sound like crap and the resonance in that car is going to be dreadful. He'll regret it soon enough.

Fox bodies are great, but soooo overpriced nowadays. The 05-09 was revolutionary with the retro feel. While I love magnaflows, the full bodied mufflers tend to be too quiet with cats still in there (magnapack would have been better imo), but with a 2v mustang, while they're total shit, Flowmaster just has that sound that I love. Oh yea, not surprised the simp with straightpipes put blue tips on his car. Not all about loud people!!

Why does the Stang have that hollow echo chamber sound and the Crown Vic always sound like a truck. I would like to get my 03 Vic sound more like a Stang. Is there a way?

Shoulda got rid of the cats on the car with the magnaflows then it really sounds good

And BTW, Straight Pipe for the win, must be LOUD!!! Get some longtubes, then add a nice loud Muffler set...

Neither. Best setup for New Edge is either high flow cats w/ X-pipe or off road x pipe with Flowmaster Super 44.

Mines is straight pipe and it don’t even sounds that good I think it’s the tips that makes a big difference
