Thanks brother, I have 2019 f150, my issue was I would lose radio signal every so often if my iPhone was plugged into power or not. Quick fix I’ve seen is holding the power and I believe the forward button under your sync screen for 10-15 seconds, your screen should reboot and that should get your satellite radio back up and running. It’s worked for me. Not sure which version I have but with your helpful video I’ll check. Thanks again

my sync 3 in my 2016 focus st was freezing and was having issues with gps after weeks of frustration I was able to get it to work so far after watching your video! Appreciate it great video as well 👍🏻

Thank you I haven’t even done the update yet but I’ve found hope I’ve checked every fuse master reset 3 times disconnected the battery twice the second time for hours going to run the update tmrw at the shop. I have a 2018 SHO everything turns on but there’s no sound and tue volume knob nor button do anything every couple turns it’ll go up or down two clicks in volume. This seems to be a sync wide issue across the full model range I believe it’s up to 4 as of 04/23. Sony needs to work they’re magic with these updates. Thanks again hopefully this works good info

2013 Expedition. Frozen Touch Screen. I can navigate all buttons with limitations. Tried to usb flash upgrade again. After pulling fuses and battery cables would not hard reset radio / Sync etc... The USB errors out with. No media found... I'm stumped here ongoing research. 🤪 😔. Thoughts and advice appreciated...

I have a 2011 Lincoln mkx and the radio is terrible..was told that it's a recall (sync system) and that I'm out of the warranty period. My radio shuts off out of no where and doesn't come back on until 3 days, 2 week, 7 months..totally random. Will this video help? They said that it shuts off when it tried to automatically update. Super super frustrating

All my stuff was built long before that came out. One less thing to give me a headache I figure. Seemed like a pretty easy process, though. I'll have to keep that in mind whenever one of these comes in here. Hopefully it works on the iMac. I was so sick of the constant problems with my PC's that I switched 5 years ago. I have a mondeo mk5, in US is the fusion an when I updated it it go a bit laggy, I did a master reset and a Shut down an start up procedure as it was in the instructions... I'm asking if this lag can be fixed??

Hiya, so I tried doing the update following your procedure, and it looked like everything was going OK. The engine fan even revved up at the beginning like it did for you. But, 30 minutes later, it said the update failed to load, and one of the reasons it mentioned was (maybe) lack of space. This was all prompted by an "entertainment unavailable" message when you go to turn the radio on. Everything else seemed to work until I tried to make a phone call, it connects to the cellphone, but you don't get any audio. I've worked my entire career in electronics (now retired), and I HATE all this new microprocessor powered c-r-a-p..... :-) I guess I'll have to buy a new electronics module for it :-(

what if the radio seems ok with everything but when it has anything to do with my phone it starts to skip then disconnect. and it does it everytime after about 5 mins or less the blutooth disconnects and the only way to get it back on is to turn the truck off then back on. and i did the update

I hear about all these problems with Ford's system but never hear about other manufacturers having all the problems Ford does with this Sync thing. I own a 2022 F150 and I'm already having issues. My son has an F150 King Ranch ($75K) and his was in the shop for 2 months trying to resolve the Sync issues. How come Ford cannot get their act together on this crap ? C'mon Ford....let's handle this properly.

Love your video. I do have a question on the Sync 3 on my 2017 Ford Explorer. I just purchased the explorer in Feb and Synced my Andoid phone to it w/o any issue. Now the issue i am having with my Android phone is it used to show the Oil Life,Fuel Amount and Mileage on my Android. Now that is gone and i cant get it back up any ideas? I dont have Mypass connect i do have the Mypass App though

I have a 2016 F150 XLT, just picked it up. It was an export from Canada. I have a Sirius XM account which I could access numerous channels over 300 in my previous vehicle. When I switched to the Ford, I've noticed the Sirius XM radio display looks different and will not tune over channel 200. I can listen to everything on my phone and my computer but not the truck. Kind of frustrating, not end of the world by any means but I'm just trying to figure it out. Would doing this update possibly fix this? Thanks for any input. Hi Ozzy, great video! Do you happen to know is it possible to control the mp3 music on USB directly from commands on steering wheel? A week ago i bought Mondeo mk5 (2017) with Sync 3. However it is driving me nuts since whenever i want to change a folder on USB stick, i have to do it on touchscreen. This is so bad since i have to focus on touchscreen for such basic operation like changing the folder. I should be focused on road instead. In my previous car(Focus mk3, 2011) it was possible to control everything using the buttons on steering wheel. Thanks in advance. Keep up the good work!

Last November Ford updated mine because I was having problems w my backup camera and my GPS. After a while it got worse, my screen wouldn’t open for a minute or so, backup camera was still acting up. Something new happened with the radio, my channels that I saved were all erased and this happened a few times when I saved them again. Then my check engine light started going on and off. It took a month to get an appointment and when they got it in, they ordered parts. A week or so later they told me to bring it in and they took it apart, put a new backup camera in and then told me they sent the wrong part and the new part would be in 2 days. Then they said the part didn’t come in so I got my truck back with nothing working on that part of the dash. It is now 3 months that they have lied to me about what they are waiting for. First it was a new radio and now it is the software. They said the software is burning up the radio or the company, depends on which guy I am talking to. Now they said they have no idea when it will be fixed, because they don’t have the software now to fix it. I’m at the end of my being nice, after all of the lies, I feel like driving it through the show room window. Do you think I have any recourse, I did purchase the extended warranty and they said from the beginning that it is covered, thanks for your videos

Ford says to EXTRACT to the USB. Anyway no of another way that might work.

I did the update and now I have a catastrophe! Everything freezes up all the time, lagging, delays, etc. the unit is now pretty much useless.

Ozzie great video. I have a 2020 Ford Transit w/ sync 3 radio. Since day #1, I have had no connectivity with my galaxy s9edge+ through the USB ports. My girlfriends iPhone works, my friends older galaxy works. Took it to ford. They say it a compatibility issue with newer phones. Ford saying that they’re working on a similar fix, but nothing yet. You have any suggestions . Ford is giving me no answers. They phone works perfectly, so it’s not the phone.
