Back in the mid 90's I had a 83 Ranger and I was one of the first to drop a V8 into a Ranger in my area I put a 351W from a 1970 Cougar my father kept it had stock heads with port work done a nice cam and the C4 trans was built good with a 3500 stall converter it was a fun truck it was the fastest thing around and I was beating all the 5.0 mustangs it was a lot of fun I ended up selling the truck but I pulled the 351 and put a 302 in the thing my father still has the 351W in a 79 F100 and it's been rebuilt since then and has aftermarket heads on it now

There's a guy that lives around the same area as me iv knowed him since I was a kid goin racing with my paw paw and uncle , him and my uncle went to school together but I talk to him at the track whenever I see him well I say talk hes deaf, his wife will tell what he is signing or type it out on his phone and show you he is a super cool knowledgable dude he has a 1984 ranger that is super clean it looks pretty stock besides the cowl hood, Centerline convo pros & Hoosier's and one of those bed covers without windows hides the fuel cell, battery and the bars that come through the back window and down through the bed the lift up glass above the tailgate has limo tint so you cant see in but it pops open almost every it leaves PM t6 all I really know is it's got one of the gm bow tie blocks and it may be half filled because he will put put around town it has some bad ass CNC'ed 23° edelbrock vic jrs and super victor intake and blow thru carb its pretty bad ass iv never seen one of those carbs in person it looks way different from any other blow thru carb iv seen, it did have a gear drive F1x procharger setup my uncle bought it for his vega bow hes running precision promod 94 or 98 on alchohol, he runs N/T shoot outs and grudge races iv personally never seen a slip but I have ran him driving my uncles little ex big tire bracket car that was originally built in the early 90's we basically went through the whole car got it on 28's with a blow thru alchohol f1 procharged 377 and glide during the winter in 2018 but against him we went a 4.98 and he came around me at the 330 and kept goin so it had to have atleast went .70s with big mph. What's funny is he has a set of stock aluminum ford explorer wheels he will put on just to be funny and it looks like a very very clean stock looking old ranger he couldn't really go around trolling when it was procharged because it was loud but with the turbo it's a helluva lot quieter if he was to put muffler or a few dynomax bullets on it he could get away with saying its sbe turbo ls setup or something and really mess with people on the street because his down pipe is under the truck and dumps some where close to under the passenger seat and he done some awesome fab work to get that 4" exhaust to fit and since there's no hood or fender exit exhaust and as long as they stay far enough away to miss getting your eyes lit on fire or smell the alchohol he runs that cherry scented fuel lube that smells amazing but 90% of people would never suspect how much steam it that sucker makes!
