Radiators tend to have a limited life expectancy, in this video, we replace a radiator on a Ford Territory 4.0 petrol, automatic, due to the ATF mixing with the engine coolant, due to a busted ATF oil cooler built into the radiator, thanks for subscribing, enjoy the video, until next week, Safe Motoring.

I am watching this for tips on how to remove the oil cooler pipes from the radiator and when you said, "I think this is an Australian import", I laughed. You see, I'm in Australia working on a Ford Courier Crewcab 4x2 auto with the 4.0l SOHC V6 motor, and the vehicle is a South African import. Thought you might get a giggle out of that.

Thanks! Just had to replace my fan and rad because the fan bearings must have gone on one of them and tore up my rad. Thank you for putting this up :) job done 👍🏼

Great vid, thanks mate.. one thing though, those break off caps on the hose clamps can by pried off to show the screw head underneath. flat screw driver, jam it in gap and hit with a hammer. no need for a hacksaw!

Hopefully the ATF in the gearbox was also changed out as well, as it likely now is also contaminated with a mix of water and antifreeze, so the pan needs to be dropped, and the ATF changed, along with the filter in the base. Might take 2 ATF changes to get all the water out as well, as there likely is a large bit sitting in the torque converter, and short of removing it to drain it, it will be hard to change the fluid in it fully.

Is there just one bolt to remove that's holding the oil cooler and condenser to back of radiator?

Depending on the vehicle's service history and the flushing of the gearbox this radiator leak just robbed the gearbox of at least 50000km of it's life.

This would be true Doc, but the gearbox oil was changed after the radiator was sorted which prevents any consequential damage to the gearbox, that is for another video though.
