This is part 2 of my review of the Ford Transit 150 Midroof Van that we own! We use it as a family van and we have really enjoyed it. We can fit whatever we need into it. We preform music and often need to take musical instruments, a sound system, PLUS the kids (and all that they need). We can fit an upright bass on the top of the seats, emergency kits in the back, "everyday baskets" under each of the kids' seats (that have a hat, jacket, travel pillow, over-the-seat caddy, their sunglasses, their headphones, etc.), and sometimes we add 5 suitcases to that list!! The seats are removable (at least they are in our van). The van has 10 seats to start with. We sometimes remove the back row (3 seats). But I often just leave it in and pack around it. Car pooling kids to and from school is always easy, we can take bikes or drift carts etc, and we have all that we need for an impromptu stop at the park. I load the front/passenger seat caddies with sunscreen, lotion, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, window cleaner, etc. The overhead caddy can hold radios, hats, and sunglasses, etc. We try to minimize "MSA" (Moving Stuff Around) at our house. This van helps us do that because we can store what we need in the car, as opposed to having to always load it with what we need for quick trips to the canyon or the park.
The Transit chassis is the same as a Ford F-150 truck and it has the same engine. It can tow up to 5,000 lbs (see my other review video to see the hitch that we had installed). The gas mileage is not stellar, but to me it is still worth it because I can have the space that I want, and I saved so much money from not buying a more expensive vehicle
