A light amount of grease on the spring holds the spring to the seal's lip better than the spring's tension alone.

Oooh, nice video. That big bolt in the middle there, is that the one that if it’s not properly tightened can cause speedo issues? I’ve been advised on forums that it’s the likely problem with my speedo bouncing around above 30mph (but reading correctly on the overrun). Great video, thanks, gives me a bit of confidence to get mine off and have a look if that is the speedo issue :)
