In this video we show an extensive breakdown of the installation of‪@scheelmannusa‬ Seats & Scopema Swivels to replace the factory seats in our 2021 Transit van. This was quite the undertaking, but so worth it! This video offers tips for the wiring and some minor modifications we made to the base to make it all fit nicely and look good!

I wonder if you put the spacer bars between the swivel and base, instead of spacers between tracks and swivel, if this would have avoided the interference that you had between the swivel and the battery cover.

That’s a great thought and something we may look into if we need to take off the seat to do some maintenance. Thank you for the suggestion!!

hi, does the Scheel Mann seat comes with the swivel panel? or did you buy it separately?

The swivel panel is from Scopema and had to be purchased separately.

Why did you decide to add the ground wire from the battery? One would think that Ford would size the ground wire to support the amperage the CCP is rated for. I'm just wondering if this was necessary.

The factory ground to chassis connection at this point is a relative small gauge wire compared to the 2 AWG wire that we used. Since we are using 3 Victron Orion-Tr battery 2 battery non-isolated chargers that will pull up to 120A, we wanted to make sure that we had enough current carrying capacity to avoid overheating the negative. This might be overkill but we felt the safest approach.

hi , wich model and what year its your van ? I don't see the hand brake, I've just got a new one Limited 185 ps automatic L2H2 with the intention of making some changes to a camper van , but , mine got the hand brake in between the two front seats gets from Belgium

Hi there! Our van is a 2021, So you are correct, there is no handbrake in between our seats because it is a newer model. I believe you can install the swivel seats-But I think it just makes it a little bit more work to get your seats turned around. Fortunately for us, we did not have this issue!
