Ford Unibody Custom Tailgate Fabrication

Today I got a chance to work on the 1963 short bed unibody truck. This truck I dropped over the top of a 2011 crown Vic cop car chassis. Now I am building a custom tailgate from a 1978 Ford pick up tailgate. I’m not positive on the year of the tailgate. I got the thing new and I’m pretty sure it was NOS. Today I got the tailgate welded up and spot welded on the truck. Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching.

Yeah, It's my 47 ford coupe. I chopped it 6 inches, shaved all the trim, mustang2 and triangulated 9"w/disk brakes, shaved firewall and a 383 stroker. I've been sidetracked building a 53 chevy COE on an 87 chevy longed frame amd suspension.

Good idea using them nuts for clamping I'll file that idea away in the old nogin 🤠 Do you use that weld through copper primer I like to use if some other people don't what's your take on it 🤷
