Ah!!!! This car brings back old memories. I remember when I was like in my pre-teen years (around 2000-2003), my Grandparents had a 2000 Grand Marquis w/ the handicap sticker hanging on the mirror, LOL. It was gold just like the one in the video but had tinted windows. They use to keep it parked under their "open" carport. Plenty of Friday evenings pulling up to Golden Corral w/ the Grams in that car. Those were the days... Nowadays, u see these cars with custom paint and 24s.

People like your grandparents back in the early 2000s bought them & kept them clean and tuned. Now so many years have passed since they were new the ones that i see in my area are mostly beat & absued. I have a 2000 gs in silver its in good shape, but i cant belive how many i see with chewed up bumpers missing center caps holes in the grill etc.

@@robertriley1569 same here! I had a 2011 ls and it seemed like every single one I saw, whether it was another grand marquis, town car, or crown vic, even the lx versions, was absolutely beat to hell. Every time that happened I always felt like I was the only person that actually cared about my panther, which sucks.

@@carlenger9707 yep 2011 was a unique year to have because of it being the last production year. I regularly wash & wax mine and keep the whitewalls white. The ones i see when I'm out in public are driven hard & abused i see alot of them being driven by girls in there 20s now, probably inherited from grandpop. I can remember back in the early 2000s seeing towncars vics and marquis in parking lots when the original owners had them and how clean and beautiful they were.

@@robertriley1569 Ever since I had mine I’ve been on the hunt for a 2011 model year made in 2011, I’ve looked at probably bundreds by now and only one that I’ve ever found was made in 2011 and it was sold before I got to it. rest were all made in ‘10, most of them in August, just like mine.

A lot better than the Lincoln in many ways. - Price - Same Interior - Same Engine - Looks just as good - Designed for personal buyers instead of livery buyers so they focus more on the interior and its amenities - When loaded out the Mercury has the same features, if not more due to higher sales.

Only cause its so popular in China, where people want a cushy passenger's car over bad city roads. It's barely alive in the US: one econobox imported from Korea, one compact SUV imported from China, and a midsize which is the same as the Acadia sold under the same roof.
@jacobyo99

@@straightpipediesel Selling over 200,000 cars a year in the U.S. is not insignificant. The new Encore GX is selling like crazy and I suspect the new Envision will sell well too. Side note- the Enclave is not a rebadged Acadia. The Enclave is 11 inches longer due to the fact that it uses the long wheelbase version of the platform.

@@jacobyo99 Ex-rentals. Doesn't make sense for the people who can afford new cars to buy a luxury gas-powered econobox. Not comparable to the Trailblazer, just look at the pricing. Encore GX $2650 off right now with 0%. Trailblazer's going only for $500, excluded from 0%, summer payment deferral going on right now, just like the Tahoe and Suburban. Maybe you should actually rent one and experience the mediocrity, that will calm your Daewoo boner down.
