We go behind the wheel for a scary fast drive in the ultimate underground street race and battle between two iconic Australian cars. Featuring a fully built 1200HP 7.0L Stroker Holden HSV VF GTS and a fully forged 1200HP Big Turbo Barra Ford FPV F6. This is a true showdown of two of the fastest, craziest and best cars to ever come out of Australia. Which one will win, which one is faster and which one would you drive home?

@@dashbel506 Correct - AMGs are fast but 1200hp vs a tuned a45, c63 no chance - It'd keep up for a bit - To be equal to one of these beasts you'd have to go stage 2 on the 45 and 63 ( quartermile ) The e63s however would gas these both stage 1 and would put a bus on them with stage 3

@@dashbel506 no one cares about 0-100 for a 1200hp car, a $60k MG EV can do 0-100 in 3.8s. Top-end is what matters on track and that merc's engine is too weak to make big power.

The Holden chassis is incredible. So stable to keep up with the precision of that power cruiser Mercedes AMG .

Chassis has little to do with it and it's apples for apples in terms of most modern sedans. You can make a lot of cars dart in and out like that have stable steering with the right sway control and camber/toe.

@@victorpeirce4753 Comfort-oriented FE1 (Evoke, Calais and Caprice), sporting FE2, which adds firmer dampers and quicker electric steering for the SV6, SS and SS V, and track-tuned FE3 for the SS V Redline that has a reduced roll angle, larger bore struts, bigger stabiliser bars and wider rear tyres.

@@sticktothefacts8905 dude if there is ever 2 over hyped cars is the commodore and the falcon...in Mexico I have rolled up on that many commodores and Falcons.there that slow I don't waist my time anymore.from the traffic lights both would give you a go.from a roll.there both getting bus length gapped...when your talking family barges they might be fast...heaps of stuff these days.would embarres both of them.thats just facts.

Up the GTS. Its just a monster. With 427 cubes and a 2650 charger, you're gonna tree everyone. The fact that standard driveline and standard suspension will handle it speaks volumes too. Im also a little bit biased lol Huge, well deserved credit where it's due though, that FPV is is also an incredible machine. I have my preference, but i can easily appreciate it for what it is. Thanks to the owners and to Clay and team for sharing. Bloody good 👍

@@Barra.The.World. I always followed the Ford philosophy to understate the horse power but over deliver it (This quite didn't work with the Windsor V8 Falcons according to Holden drivers). That's also the secret to Nissan GT-R's crazy success at Bathurst and international motorsport.

They are both cool I'm a ford guy but both look like fun. Personally I like driving low powered light weight car on windy roads or down mountains because you need to grab it by the scruff of the neck and wring everything out of it. Its more enjoyable tipping a car into a corner at 160km to 180km using all the grip of all 4 tyres.

@@gregkerbage8739 haha there’s a vx commodore with an LS( I think it’s 454 cubes) that’s got 800hp and it’s running in the 8’s down the 1/4 and it’s naturally aspirated and the car is still ifs rear suspension. Never heard of a Barra doing that. I think Barra’s would do better roll racing.

A fella in my street, single bloke. Never married, never had kids etc (a little behind the 8ball in some ways I suspect) has wanted a gen-f GTS ever since they came out 10 years ago and swore he’d own 1 one day. Well that day came about 3 months ago after years of hard work and saving, took ownership of an absolutely spotless red 2015 model with all the goodies, only 40,000ks and 520kw for $90k (cheap for one of these things believe it or not). Only for some low life scum bag to break into his garage and knock it off while he was at work one night… it was devistating. These vehicles are becoming highly sought after and valuable… keep them safe, in good order, locked up and buy a big dog!
