Corbyn wouldn't be a threat to the system if he couldn't even counter the media smears on him and outmanoeuver his own party sabotaging him. A decent man? Yes. A good strategist? Nope. And bernie sanders was worse by folding to hilary Clinton instead of calling her out over the dnc corruption and starting his own third party like Andrew yang is doing. If our heroes do performative politics rather than use their power or they have bad strategy then we should drop them and find new heroes.

Well to be fair most of the Labour Party is comprised of Russel educated upper middle class Tories. The (by our modern standards) hard left cadre is tiny and very much an endangered species within the "workers" party. Come on, let's be honest, Labour died with New Labour. They stopped representing working men and women in 1996 when Blair threw open the borders and encouraged tens of millions of economic migrants to come here and work for the rich while grinding down the native poor, literally driving them out of the big cities. And those people, blinded by devotion to the red banner, just kept on re-electing the bastards. Now we have social and economic chaos.. and more millionaires and billionaires than at any other time in our history. I say "our". It dies with us obviously.

Agree it would be great if the political infighting in Labour came to an end but as the very presenters of this video empirically demonstrate the attacks do come from both sides (i.e. lots of attacks on those in the centre left); am I saying their criticisms are invalid, nope, just calling out that the infighting and factionalism continues. In line with the conclusions of the report itself, there needs to be more reaching out and collaboration. In the end we are all in the ABC (anyone but conservatives) party and have more in common that things that divide us in my humble opinion. Heck, with the current far right crowd in power I think there are increasingly those on the centre right (Teal party types) who are effectively on our side now (similar to the never Trumpers, they are seeing the big picture and are worried). Just my 2 cents

Very well put, my feelings exactly. The campaign to oust corbyn and the left has been hugely successful for the right though and this watered down version of a truly vicious and disgraceful period in British political history won't be properly examined by the msm, so will unfortunately pass most people by. There's no depth the right aren't prepared to sink to and no dirty tactics they aren't prepared to employ. So the gloves need to come off when the left take on the right next time.

@@tjenadonn6158 It was a stitch-up. It was dirty. It wasn't illegal. Think for a minute what your enemies would do with the ability to throw situations like this to a court, against whatever journalists you do like. It's weird as hell seeing leftists get lusty about courts and new powers. If there was libel, if there was slander, prosecute that. But I bet you there's no case, and you don't really want to create new legal circumstances where there would be a case.

Such a relief to hear about the Forde Report after waiting two years for something aiming at the the restoration of media probity. Congratulations N M on having had consistency on this issue all along. The Panorama episode was blatantly one-sided as well as mendacious. British culture has gone through an insidious embarrassing and troubling period of having even the well-meaning members of public being comprehensively hoodwinked.

"...there is this 130 page document which any can read, and they can see that they're talking out of their back sides" Unfortunately, the majority of people aren't going to read the report. They'll accept the softball headlines from Guardian and others and either take away that it was a "both sides" issue or that nobody really conspired to take down Corbyn in the Labour party. That's why Novara matters, because people don't read reports, they read headlines.

Considering the onslaught we sat through, I think there is no line that can be considered petty in exhaustively broadcasting and discussing every last bit of it. If you're still making videos in a year's time to pull out all the detail, that would be justified and good.

If corbyn's enemies wanted him gone and made this happen then that's good strategy. This is war, it is not kind or fair. If you want to win power to put your plans into action then you can't be nice while being attacked you must fight back. It is a battle, it is war, there are winners and losers. If you don't fight or you have bad strategy then you lose. Corbyn had bad strategy and couldn't outmanoeuvre his own party and the media so he lost. He should've expected a dirty fight and been 10 steps ahead of it. He seemed a good man but a terrible strategist and not a fighter, its a shame.

@@janewright2800 when you back someone in a fight, you expect they will fight and be prepared beforehand. He was anti racist so they turned that against him and made him look anti semitic, he was anti war so they turned that against him and made him out to be a terrorist. This is basic fight playbook moves and though I wanted him to win, he didn't fight. If playing dirty wins then do you want to play dirty or do you want to lose and people keep suffering? There's how you WANT the fight to go and there's how the fight is ACTUALLY going, if we don't improve our strategy to the latter then we lose.

Kier Starmer is ideologically aligned with Boris, which is why he never challenged policy but made all of his rebuttal personal. So whilst Kier Starmer was taking kneeling photos for optics, he was ignoring complaints of Afriphobic racism in his own party. When questioned about where thought the BLM movement might lead, he said "I think this will only be a moment not a movement", he then proceeded to do his best behind closed doors to make that statement accurate.
