Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are proud to present (and star in)... MISCHIEF MANAGED, a short film about Lily, Snape and the Marauders, set on Valentine's Day 1978, during their 7th year at Hogwarts.
The film was created by a team of Oxford students and shot on location at the University of Oxford in March 2016. After a 6-day shoot and a mammoth post-production, we're super happy to be able to show you the final result of our hard work. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Everyone here be like will star. Honestly I don’t see it. I think if anything Sirius was platonically in love with James. I’m going now that Dumbledore and Grindelwald were gay I don’t know why they would shy away from portraying any of the other characters that way but I just don’t see that they’re gay I just think that they’re very complicated friendships and that’s a big theme in the Harry Potter films

I like how they portrayed Peter, maybe it wasn't their intention, but I got the feeling that he always was there for them and always tried to cheer them up, but they just took him for granted. I mean it doesn't make what he did okay, but I like the character a lot. This is great!

We don’t really know enough about Peter to make a true judgement, for all we know Voldemort might have promised him he would spear James and Lilly, although still a betrayal, he may have believed it was worth it to keep his friends safe as they can always have another child. I don’t believe Peter wanted to be involved in the war at all, but either would have had good intentions with his betrayal, or really feared for his life and wasn’t brave enough to accept death and chose the selfish option to live

@@CC-mq7ei but the marauders weren't the ones getting bullied, so the bullying didn't really affect them at all. the reason they became good people is because they had other people that they cared about enough to stop hurting others, while snape didn't have anyone he cared about or anyone who cared about him. it's totally two different stories, you can't compare someone who got bullied to the person bullying them.

@@thextremekittenmdj Sirius grew up in a dark wizarding family and had expectations to become a death eater, and he didnt. Severus also pushed everyone away hard. He called Lily a slur when she tried to defend him. Remus literally lost all of his friends, got shunned by the wizarding world but he did not take vindictive pleasure in bullying students. Remus was actually really nice to Severus, who in turn, told the whole school he was a werewolf so he would become unemployed again

this is such a great representation of peter- i know a lot of representations of young peter are influenced by his later actions, which like yes sometimes you can see that stuff coming from a mile away, but this is totally the kind of behavior a really insecure teenage boy just trying to fit in with his friends would have. copying the way james is hopping around the courtyard, encouraging him and lily "i think its sweet." him eating with two hands jut like a rat is also such a great touch??? hes so eager to please. What a great Peter.

The sexual tension between Sirius and Remus in the common room was very palpable, such good acting. The girl who played lily was brilliant. I liked Snape too- he had no lines and yet managed to say everything with his eyes. Plus The dialogue was great. :) love this

Can I just take a moment to say how amazing Peter was, and the actor that played him? I mean, he was so awkward, and needy, like Peter really is. I know not a lot of people like Petigrew, but personally, I love him. I know many people don't, and that's fine. But holy shit, the way they portrayed him in this is exactly how i imagined he would be, with all of his flaws and his adorable mannerisms. And that scene in the beggining where he tries to jump over the hedge? absoulte gold.

I love this!!! Peter perfect! Snape perfect! Lilly perfect! Remus perfect! James perfect! Sirius got screwed he was way too mean at times and Sirius although a prankster and definitely makes fun of James but at times Sirius was less funny and more rude and unthoughtful of James feelings but other than that this was perfect also the part where James asks “How do I look?” Sirius says he looks ridiculous and then Peter misses while trying to throw the invisiblity cloak at him is just priceless 😂😂😂

haha :) - (1) We filmed at Oxford University where we were all studying as students at the time, (2) one of our producers' father happened to own an aviary so we were just lucky about the owl really, (3) we filmed the moving images in another part of the building and used VFX in post

Me too, I don't actually ship them, but I was sure that was gonna happen (not that I would have minded! It's just like, well, in the books I ship of course Tonks and Remus. But I would have been fine with it if Sirius and Remus had gone to the dance together, that would have been really cute!) Especially when they talked about that they both don't have dates... well, I was sure as hell they were gonna go together.
