I am an advanced 5.0 player... but even for me this tip is priceless! Thank you Nick! I feel it the same way as if you are dancing with the ball and I feel when the timing of the dance is right the ball goes very heavy... but I coun't ever wrap this concept into words or definition... it is amazing how you Nick can explain pretty complex things with simple words! Bravo! Cheers!

Nic is a great teacher. He listens to what his student is saying and tries to understand and exercises so much patience. It feels like he really wants everyone to be the best they can and isn’t in it just for a paycheck. Plus he knows how to explain things in a way that is easy to understand 👏🏽 🎾

Mystery solved. I could never understand why I always arm my forehands and my big muscles never accept my invite to join the action. I finally got the answer in this video at between 2:00 and 2:26 minute mark, where Nick explains I probably have not unloaded my dominant leg after loading it. What's the solution: setting the foot late as a part of the backswing. I tried and it worked like a charm. The differences is night and day.

Well done, Felipe! Hats off. At first I was a bit confused about what Nick expected Felipe to do. Because in general I always saw the "Beat the bounce" tip. Though the explanation at 10:52, so setting up fast still (doing the unit turn) but waiting for the (late) explosive load and unload made the picture complete. Thanks, Nick! Will try to apply it myself when on the court again :)

Is it strange that my favourite part of this video is when they start discussing in between breaks the fundamental flaws in the big 3's techniques? Found it fascinating, especially about why Nadal improved his serve then actively decided to get less Aces in matches .....

Haha, triggered me now with the aesthetic part😅. Federer definitely the most aesthetic, agree there. Between Djokovic and Nadal... I think it is more aesthetic overall Nole's fh. Rafa is a whip, it is powerful, whatever you want, but I don't think aesthetic, unless you think that thing on top of his head is aesthetic, which I don't (though it helps him with top spin). Backhand... you are talking Nole has one of the best backhands in history, Nadal probably too, I find Nole's more aesthetic, Nadal's bh is more aesthetic than his own forehand, very powerful, but more aesthetic than Nole's bh? not for me... Serve? Nole's definitely is not pretty... Nadal's I don't think is pretty either, very different, I'll give them a draw. Volleys, Nadal yes definitely nicer volleys... or does he? I mean... well, lets give it to Nadal; his smashes (Nadal's )are definitely prettier and better, and his bh overhead is awesome... So it's close, I guess Nick has love for Nadal, I have my love for Nole, but I'm a nobody in tennis and Nick is definitely someone, so.. I guess I'll have to differ to what he thinks 😅

The loading looks great, but the twinkle toes looks out of place, no pro player moves their feet like this, even semi pro. Its more about efficiency of movement.

I feel like I have alway been coached to have my front foot stepping into every forehand (where possible), whereas this looks fairly neutral into a back foot followthrough. Is that just a closed vs open stance differentiation?

Excellent videos! Love it. Seems like Felipe doesn't bend his back knee much when he loads, and the degree he bends to doesn't vary. Wouldn't he be able to get his body more involved if he bended a little deeper and sprang out of it?

This is an observatiion, as its Nick's job to do coaching and analysis, which is very good. On Felipe's forehand, besides the stance, getting set, footwork etc I am intrigued about the grip. Seems an extreme western? I wonder what percentage of recreational players today use an extreme forehand grip?

Felipe, what my man Lucasser78 (big Nadal fan in Latin America ,many times a troll, but he knows his tennis) says is that Nadal hurt his rotator cuff after the USO 2010 and that's why he never was able to serve the same again. Nick being such a Nadal fan not mentioning this makes me feel Lucasser78 maybe made that up. Have you heard about this Nick?
