big fan of your videos! been watching them for a long time now ! one question i have is how to be more aggressive during games? I think during training it is easy to attack. However when it comes to games i feel i am much more passive. Could you please elaborate on the footwork after short receives? Specifically, what is the correct foot work to get into position after a short push? (you can assume that i push long so that i can prep for a long ball.) Would be great if you could cover this topic as it seems to be a common problem in intermediate levels :) Great work and looking forward to more videos !

Great video, but have some questions: what difference on half long ball and counterspin

Thanks. I have a couple of questions if you could help, 1) normal topspin: arm above the table means actively lifting it? What do you mean by the blade being parallel to the ball, how parallel? 2) against backspin: here you say the arm should be at table level, not letting the arm down, instead body down.. Confused..I see the coaches in the video letting their arm with the pad freely down (head pointing down and arm is almost stretched at 03:00)..? Wouldn't be better to let the arm relaxed freely down while keeping it bent at elbow and then control the height of the pad with the body (knee+hip bent) depending on the coming spin..? For normal topspin the pad would probably be at knee height or behind the thigh and against backspin below the knee.. Sure unless the ball is coming fast or with a lot of topspin then I think actively lifting the arm to be above the table would be better to catch the ball in time Would be nice if you could reply

Not true... There are many videos where coaches are telling about this. For example Ti Long or EmRatThich.

My coach Coach din helped me fixing this, He first told me to do a 360 spin, where you spin and rotate 360 around yourself, it sounded weird but i did it, after doing it for few times he told me to do it half only, 180 degree, from there on I started rotating my hips properly and my top spin improved a bit. Then he told me to shadow this kind of movement in home. And it worked fine for me as of now I seen the improvement. So you can try this 360 technique and see if it works for you.
