Been a fan of Kelly Hansen since his days in Hurricane. He's doing a grand job with singing the Foreigner classics. Love the saxophone solo in this, leaves you breathless

That sax solo gave me goosebumps.

Kelly belongs on stage in front of an audience. It's how he started and he is a natural at it. He is in control of that stage when he is on it. Totally in control. And the rest of the band is fantastic. Mick is a great songwriter and musician, but he is a genius at putting a tight working band together. Mick Jones - keyboard, guitar, vocals Kelly Hansen - vocals, percussion (he also plays guitar) Tom Gimble - saxophone, flute, guitar, vocals Jeff Pilson - bass, vocals, musical arrangement Michael Bluestein - keyboards, vocals Mark Schullman - drums, vocals The band is very, very tight and very, very professional. A pure joy to watch and see.

why are people bashing the singer? this guy has a great voice and really does justice to Foreigner! he may look like the runner-up of a Steven Tyler look-alike contest, but damn he can sing. They sound amazing to me, and it's not common for bands to hold up this well after so many years

Like it or not, this is Foreigner. I think they rock. Without Lou the songs don't transport me back to high school, but they have a vibe of their own right now in the present.

I’m old enough to remember Lou Gramm in his prime. He was very impressive. He was always going to be very difficult to replace. Foreigner has chosen well. This ‘new’ guy can sing things that Lou Gramm can no longer sing. I think he’s doing a great job of these old songs.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you perform live as the lead singer. You acknowledge the band.

Kelly Hanson is a very talented and accomplished rock vocalist. His vocal style, intonation and pitch is very similar to Lou Gramm’s. While there will only ever be one Lou Gramm who defined Foreigner’s distinct and recognizable vocal signature, Kelly Hanson is doing an awesome job and deserves respect!

I've seen Foreigner live many times...they are as good as it gets. This one is an absolutely killer intro by Mick with Mike paving the way with his masterful keys. Solid vocals by Kelly & the usual terrific sax solo by Tom Gimbal. Foreigner forever!

I saw this entire concert filmed at the Arcada Theatre in Chicago last night, on the PBS channel LakeShoretv. It was great, I love Kelly's voice, it's high quality and doesn't take ANYTHING away from the original lead singer at all! Kelly's voice may even be better! He does the band good and I enjoyed it all...Brought back memories for me as a teen in the 70's, loved this band, still do....

1980 I started listening to Foreigner. Lou Gramm is the best Lead Vocal they ever had. Why would you want to knock a guy down because he had a benign brain tumor removed and then went through years of treatment and was given steroids that blew him up like a balloon? He went on his own for a while and then the brain tumor shows up but he did great on his own. His voice can never be copied from ANYONE. He is the REAL DEAL. The sincerity of his voice is what shows me that he puts his heart into his music. Matter of fact the other guy reminds me more of a Stephen Tyler wanna be.

Kelly is like a cat wired on caffeine bouncing around among the audience and I always look forward to Thom's sexy sax solo on "Urgent." Can't wait to seem them again in concert. I had my doubts at first but was pleasantly surprised at how good these guys still sound (albeit with an almost entirely new band) after all these yrs. And although no one can truly replace the legendary Lou Gramm, I think the new guy - Kelly Hansen, who has a great voice that meshes well with their old hits, does a fine job of filling in for Lou.

When I surf KZfaq for Foreigner tunes, it isn't with Lou Gramm, no disrespect, it's for the clips with the oh, so hot, and oh, so talented Kelly Hansen!! Bring it, baby!!

So many Foreigner fans seem to hate this version of the band and think they shouldn't be playing these old songs because there's only one original member. If Mick shouldn't play them then neither should Lou's band because they've also only got one original member of Foreigner. It sounds like you'll only be happy when no one is playing these songs any more and we never get the chance to see them played live. Here's a simple solution to all of this negativity: If you only like Lou's band, then go see them and ignore Mick's band. If you only like Mick's band, then go see them and ignore Lou's band. If you like both bands, then go and see them both. There you go, problem solved!

That sax player is insane!

Some bands are known for their lead singer and hard to replace ( Journey , Stones , Styx, Boston, etc,...) But this replacement really can sing and keeps the band rocking at a high note. No complaints they still give quality performance, the past is gone and this new singer on going past the limit. Lou is missed but life goes on the band still rocks.

Mick Jones knocks it out of the park on the guitar intro leading the terrific band into one of Foreigners best songs...but there are so many...
