So "prepih" is actually a draft of air like between two open windows. And it is advisable not to find yourself in its way during the months when your immune system is a bit compromised, during the winter for example. :) One open window is fine for a short period of time and even two windows, if you want the air in your living space to quickly change and let in some fresh air, you just shouldn't be in its way.

Zdravo iz Avstrije. Neighbor country of Slovenia. I'm living just some minutes next to the border of Slovenia. I have Slovenian roots. My grandfather moved to Austria before the Yugoslavia war started. I love this country . Especially lake Bled , Triglav , Piran and Ljubljana.

Last time I was in Slovenia, I gained over ten pounds in just ten days. And you guess it, it was because of potica. Yummy yum yum. My mother used to make it all the time but unfortunately she has some nerve damage in her hands now and can no longer make it.

Palačinka is a crepe. Just saying 😂 I don’t know about the AC part, because pretty much all of us have one. That’s not 100% true. Yes, we were thought not to sit on a cold bench, because you’ll catch a cold 😂 idk what they tech in other parts of Slovenia, but I was always told to cover my back and not to sit on a cold bench during the winter, because I’ll get a cold, nothing about me not having kids in the future.

You should try trojanski krof- it comes with apricot jam obvs but they also have blueberry and plum jam or you can pick a vanilla filled krof covered with chocolate

I have stayed as tourist a week or so in Izola. Walking down the road, the special dark green trees gave it all a kind of lush mediterranean look. What is only missing in this picture are some white ruins of Roman temples. Isn't it strange that there are none? I could have been a perfect place for rich Romans to retire.

Little choes are called slippers or copati. It is expected to take off your shoes when visiting your friends and family. Then you are offered slippers not to have cold feet :)
