Jash I'm so envious u guys r Livin my dream ! Ur kids minus the tweenie who wants to go back to the u.k will soak in all the cultures of a nation as a bazaar that drew the world to Bharat. These life experiences r priceless you guys took a bold step to move to India @ da rite time because salaries r excellent, growth for next 29 years looks good & India is outpacing all @ 8% growth. Kolkata is my place. Happy to know that you are coming. You will see many Gothic type buildings . It was the capital of India before 1911. British government made those Gothic architectures . Visit Victoria memorial hall . It was named after queen Victoria. You can see her sculpture. You will know about the freedom fighting against British too when you will go inside the hall . Best of luck and happy traveling ❤❤. PS. Are you planning to visit north east India too ? You will find complete different landscapes and cultures . It's beautiful and so diversified. If you go you will fall in love with beautiful north east .

We had tour guide who did not advise or warn us about the Mandir inside. We were told that its a cave under construction. We apologise for any disrespect caused. We did not see anyone take shoes off.

We are aware of this thank you Blue Sky. Most of the street food have health and safity issues, no access to clean water. I habe been told that we will fall ill several times and slowley our immune system will get stronger. I do not allow kids to eat street food unless its cooked at high temprature.
