Good Day Dear Family! In today's vlog I am sharing with you a glimpse of my daily life here in the province in the Philippines. Cooking Filipino food in our dirty kitchen outdoors, fresh fish, making tinolang manok with freshly harvested malunggay leaves, walking around the beach near the house. Is this a dream life, a paradise?
We recently moved here to Bantayan Island, Cebu with my Russian Filipino Family to start new chapter of our life!

Sorry to hear about Filipinos notion belittle themselves to be poor. The measurement of happiness is not money or what you have but the gratitude and being thankful to God Father Almighty for His faithfulness. Many wealthy people around the world but miserable and lonely because they have no Living God in their heart. God bless you.🙏

A blessed day to you and your family ! I think the basic reason from your observation why it's hard to find malunggay in the maket is because some the neighbors have them where others can just ask some branches from. Also the leaves wilt and dry readily in hot weather. Besides, It's easy to grow, everybody can have this superfood plant right in their backyard . Just stick in the ground a mature stem or two and it will root, and take off easily. And chayote too is easy to grow. It produces plenty of fruits even from just one plant. You'll have sustained supply of fruits and edible tips too for months or over a year. Just bury a mature fruit upside down at soil level It's from the basal end where the young plant comes out.

You are right, some time later after that video, I’ve observed neighbors do have malunggay here and there! As well as calamansi. Unlike in the city before no one grew or much of my neighbors so I had to buy in market or even supermarket imagine 😁 I’ll try to plant it, my neighbor has a tall tree of it , just I am not sure I know what stem means it’s mature. Thank you for your great advice and sharing the wise experience❤️😊 how about squash , can I plant the seed from the fresh cut of a squash (kalabasa) after drying them up? Malunggay stems are mature when they are very dark green to brown in color. Yes, you can use the seeds from the cut out squash if the fruit is mature enough. The seeds should be plump or filled up. Wash the seeds and dry them up inside the house or in a place receiving indirect sunlight . Before planting put some in the water. Those that floats are not good seeds; plant those that sink at the bottom. There's a local branch of Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Plant Industry in Mandaue, Cebu and they give free vegetable/fruit tree seeds and seedlings. "Each individual/household will be given one set, which contains 5 packets. Each packet contains the subsequent estimated number of seeds, enough for a 50-100 sq. m. plot: Pechay - 500, Mustard - 600, Okra - 30, Upland Kangkong - 35,Tomato - 140 Eggplant - 80, Upo - 12, Ampalaya - 6-7, Bush Sitao - 20 Please ask if they have seeds of squash, saluyot, alugbati, etc. Ask your husband to call the Bureau of Plant Industry - National Seed Quality Control Services (NSQCS) close to your place - Region 7 in Estancia, Mandaue City, Cebu at +63 32 344 8040 or send an email to request: "Bureau of Plant Industry... Want your free seeds? We have added other means to make the request for free seeds - right at your fingertips.. Click link below or copy below link in your browser. Thank you so much! I’m very grateful for your help and information. You are so kind that you explain all these to me, and gave such advises! We are originally from mandaue! But now in bantayan. Next visit to city, I think I’ll try what you advised! That’s great , the program for households. Not everyone can afford to buy seeds, but if this is successful, those who has seeds, can be partially self sustainable or sell the veggies. @@MariiaDiIt is better to plant those vegetables and fruits than trying to find it in the market. Wow, province life is so slow and not hectic. City lifestyle seems very streesful due to many payments. 😅

You can have hot chocolate for breakfast too, there are cacao farms in Cebu. Chocolate is commercially available in the local markets in pure "tablea", which is cheaper than the well-processed and sometimes imported powder. Just put some chocolate tableas and heat it up in water (do not boil) until the tablea has fully dispersed. Mix in little sugar and little peanut butter, a teasepoon or tablespoonful is enough. You can add milk too. It complements the toast with strawberry jam and scrambled eggs on the side, or your favorite banana cue. For my breakfast, I always cook champorado with oatmeal instead of glutinous rice and chocolate powder or tablea without sugar. That way I can control my cholesterol and blood sugar level. Enjoy your day with your family with a great breakfast. God bless and protect your family.

It's less stress to live there.. not a lot of bills unlike here in the US people have lots of bills to pay. It's really very laid back to live there as long as you grow your own food.

Thank you for watching!😊 yes, I agree, it’s nice to have veggies and even fruits of your own. About bills, so true, even here in the Philippines, in Cebu city we had much more bills then here in province, water for example, here is deep well, so it’s only to pay for an electric pump. Before in city we paid and pump and water bill. Of course can’t be compared to US , but still.
