I just want to say a Huge Thank You to Mike and Nelly!!! I was born in Manila in 1983 and my mother moved to Canada 2 months later, I never returned to the Philippines since. It was thanks to your videos (especially this video of Villa Escudero) that pushed me to come back so I returned in October 2021 and it was the greatest experience of my life (so far)! I married my wife during that month and we spent our honeymoon at Villa Escudero! I want to say a sincere Thank You from the bottom of my heart, and I wish you both continued success and happiness! My German husband and I, so loved our experience there! Traditional Filipino cultures are featured in their shows. Riding with the carabao leading us the way with singers are also worth the experience!!!! Good try guys!

guys that villa escudero is just a stone throw away from my place and yet i dont have an opportunity to be there.. you guys are so lucky to experience the filipino heritage...our yesteryears delicately restored in that particular corner of our province..

it’s called a water bufallo, locally called as “carabao”. they usually help farmers in planting seeds for rice.

The ancestral house near the museum is the house my dad grew up in. It was situated in Angeles City Pampanga and relocated piece by piece to this complex. They had added a stairwell to the other side to make it more symmetric. They also opened up the top level to make it more like s balcony to the lower level. I remember that the levels were separated to accommodate their restaurant on the first floor back on the day, then later converted to a rental apartment. I'm glad they salvaged my grandparents and great grandparent's home and made it resplendent.

My family and I went there in 2012 and it was a wonderfull experience. It was early april then and they where having an event showing the Palaspas (Palm Sunday) and Salubong in observance of the HolyWeek. My son and daughter was excited then seeing how our country is so reach in culture. We also watched the cultural dance show and went in the museum, rafted and falls. It is much fun going there at April. U will see all the staff wearing filipiniana traditional clothes of filipinos.

My friends was with me 2017 although im poor but they insist me to go w them. Although im ashame i join them bcoz its my biggest dream. Many people talk about that place and many celebrity couple renew their marriage there. Up to now i still rwmember the feeling. I was plan to request u couple to go there but im happy you make it happen during our activity there we really make the most. Super duper happy all the activity. And its summer so enjoy while eating in the water. So many people. .i dont know how to pass our picture to you. Couple. So worthy .memorable xperience. Take care couple becoz we care .especially mike .coz its only a month(?)since u got frim surgery. Sorry for the grammar. Im only a vendor .dont know how to correct my english .keep safe to stay healthy.

One of my favorite places to go ..... I was hoping that you would have the experience of the Carabao ride with the singers .... often times, they had 2 people sitting at the back of the cart singing as they begin the short ride ...... I have not been there in years but always had a great relaxing day when we went ..... wish you had better weather ........ thank you for bringing back so many memories ...... last time I was there , I brought a friend from the US there together with my parents ....... sadly they are all gone now .... good memories

I've been here 26 years ago way back in 1994 and the place still astonishing, the beautul museum inside the church and the lunch by the river or shoud i say water cascade from the dam which flow under your feet while you eat. This place is impressive even up to this day

The religious statues in the museum are used in procession during the lenten season in San Pablo City. One of the most anticipated holy week processions in the Philippines.

It has been years since I’ve been there. Brings back so many memories! You may also want to go to Hidden Valley in Calauan, Laguna. It’s about 2 hours away from Makati. 😁

I have been there in the late 60’s. There was a real shrunken head in the museum. I met Don Escudero the owner. He was a very nice man

Still have vivid childhood memories of that place. Eating with my grandparents and family at the foot of the waterfall and swimming afterwards. Good old days :)

Villa Escudero is actually in Tiaong, Quezon Province, just after the border with Laguna. The carabao, or as we call it "the beast of burden" (because they help the farmers) belongs to the family of Asian water buffaloes. I'm glad they're back open and you were able to visit it finally.

Mike's knowledge of cinematography and Nelly's heartfelt contribution to every adventure they share with us is a power combo to beat. Impressive, breathtaking drone shots whatever the weather is obviously done with captivating creativity. The background scoring creates a feeling of being there physically. Keep it happening Mike and Nelly. You win our hearts. FYI: Carabaos are also known as water buffalos. I believe carabao meat is also an alternative to cow's meat for tapa in tapsilog.

Been there twice nice and beautiful place to go.. cheap entrance and all you can eat yummy foods .. nice swimming pools and jacuzzi bathtubs

I've been there 3 or 4 times and stayed in of those Bamboo Houses on stilt in the water 3. It's really a village where all the employees were given housing within the property. They do everything they serve and they also entertain. Those musicians and dancers are also member of the service crew and park employees. Really a unique setting and experience. Wish you can use rondalla music as your background music. Rondalla is a group of musicians playing that small guitar like musical instrument call rondalla is I'm not mistaken. Actually there's nice swimming pool there that adults can swim.

Mike and his iconic "Can I drive?" Hahaha. Pretty soon you'll have a montage of all the transports Mike is able to drive. By the way, Mike might enjoy flying/trying the ultralight in Pampanga. It's fun to do during the hot air balloon fiesta buy any time is a great time to try the ultralight.

This is one of the few places we've been planning to visit since long time as its not so far from we are in Sta Rosa but I didn't know how beautiful it is. From what I only know there's a restaurant down the man made water falls and a boat ride in the river. This is a very unforgettable experience a very Filipino life style, specifically of they can offer a native house for accommodation it's a beautiful place to spend your week end. My daughter will really enjoy this place once we get to visit this place specially if the weather is good.👌 👌

The dance you saw is called Singkil and the group playing is called Rondalla. Hardly anyone does that anymore. One of my aunts used to play in a Rondalla on a TV show there in the PI when I was young. The carabao is called a water buffalo in English.

The place is located in the countryside and the "theme" practices old traditions that some people have a hard time understanding. You have the choice between driving a carabao or driving a car with toxic diesel. An interesting place for me to visit next time I am in Manila. Enjoy and take care.

Carabao or the Philippine Water Buffalo is the National animal of the Philippines. The Carabao is doing hardwork to plow the rice field with the farmer, doing it manually to prepare the field during the planting season of rice. It is also utilized as the means of transportation to haul the harvested rice from the rice field to the house of the owner.

This is the last place I visited with my grandfather before he passed away in 2001 so many beautiful memories at villa escudero. Such a pretty place we have nothing like it in Australia.
