oh my goodness.. metro manila is gorgeous!! while i’m aware that every country has its different sides, this has definitely changed my perspective of the city 🇵🇭❤ apologies for the ignorance but i’ve never done a proper research about this city before & now i’m really intrigued! filipinos are also the friendliest people i know. i’m considering manila as one of the destinations for my first solo trip. love from singapore 🇸🇬❤️

@@Siopaoko lol no country is perfect. yet the philippines are perfect in different ways than my country canada. and canada is also perfect in different things. what's perfect is the culture of the people as a whole. of course you'll have outliers, but those outliers are unfortunately more common in places like canada and the US. growing up here in canada, i used to think 'why is laughing? or why is he smiling?' but growing older, i realized that people do it to be nice. people say canadians are nice and polite. but there's a place where they're more nice and polite and it's the philippines.

Welcome to the Philippines! BGC looks more pleasant and more modern than Makati because it was just recently developed compared to the Makati CBD. As you have probably noticed, there were no unsighty electric wires overhead. The utility cables had been buried underground.

I agree you should visit bgc at night too! Uptown area is vibrant. The 3d led screen area in bgc highstreet is good too at night.!

My God the Shopping malls are everywhere. Mall of Asia = Getting Lost. Also visited Venice Grand Canal, Brings back fond memories from Assassin's Creed 2.

BGC is a private piece of land bought by a wealthy Spanish family called the Ayalas, the whole city used to be a huge military base, most grass and trees, the Ayala family bought it from the government and first built the whole road/grid system, i was there about 15 years ago and the whole city was just flat empty but road/paved squares with grass in the middle and that one single outdoor mall. They've built the entire city in just 15 years which is pretty impressive. Sadly though, if you walk to any of the boundaries of the city, on the other side of the wall is immediately slums. You can get some pretty cool pictures if youre into photography.

You can go to the northern part of the Philippines and see Baguio City which is the coldest city of the Philippines and it was built by the Americans, or you can stay in Vigan and the city is like in Europe built by the Spanish in the 15th to 16th century

Mabuhay 👋/Welcome to the Philippines. BGC was once a military base turned into a mall since the 90's. It just keep adding more skyscrapers. Try to go to Asia Mall the biggest and the Okada hotel. You might see Trump and Paris Hilton hotels too. Night life is the best in BGC. It's actually family time for us. That's the first mall where there's a church in the middle. But that's only one of the city that has a big malls. Other big cities like Iloilo, Cebu, Bacolod, Davao and many more has many modern malls ang buildings. You will think you're in New York if you go around Manila. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

Yes...namely Makati, Ortigas, Alabang/Filinvest, Eastwood City, Araneta City, Aseana City, Newport City, Rockwell, Capital Commons, Greenfield, Greenhills, as well as those under development like Arca South, Arcovia City, Bridgetowne,Parklinks and the Bay Area like Horizon Manila! ❤🇵🇭💥

Hey, Jackie try visit Las casas pilipinas acuzar, in bataan just ride a bus from cubao, 5star or geneses buses that place is very amasing u feel u are in Spain during the colonial time many buildings rides u can stay and there's a restaurant it's like a resort but the style is Spanish colonial time I missed that place we have been that place u can rent a custome during colonial time that place is amazing try to visit there that place is not s oexpensive

The mini cities, business and lifestyle centers developed in the 1990s onwards are more modern and had nice parks, skyscrapers, giant malls, better roads and sidewalks, walkways etc., with the exception of Ortigas Center and of course Makati CBD which were developed earlier and were the most modern in the earlier decades and continued developing coz that's where most expensive villages of the super rich are located of course.
