I use 'mothers' mag and aluminium polish and a piece of wire wool on my S3, they polish up a treat.

The best thing for any metal is ACF-50 spray. I use it on all my comp exhaust pipes

My RS4's exhaust tips are gloss black which means you can't use a metal polish or they will go chrome! I've used ACF-50 since day 1 with great results. Still black, still shiny and most importantly no rust!

Degreaser and 0000 steel wool is quicker and better :D
