I love how you listened to the original before listening to this. You were right on the money about HyungHo owning the song (btw your pronunciation of his name is great!) especially since he's singing as the main character here, which is the Mother who gave birth to the Child of the Moon. Forestella explained that they changed the story of the song a bit while translating it into Korean because they claim the original lyrics can be "a bit too shocking for some audiences." In their version, the part where all four of them start singing right after the most dramatic one belts out 'Hijo de la Luna' is supposed to be some villagers (all three of them besides HyungHo) accusing the Mother to be a witch (having been given birth to a child who is only half-human) and the Mother in agony. And then as the song progresses she is driven into a state of frenzy, reaching the final high notes HyungHo sings before everything quites down at the end which is supposed to represent the Mother throwing herself from a cliff. The very last words sung by the other three are about how she (and probably her child too, subject is missing from those sentences) is sleeping sound and dreaming a sweet dream she would never awake from.

Someone might already mention about Kang Hyung Ho's solo album. He was amateur rock band singer before became a member of Forestella. And that band name was PITTA . So he released album with name PITTA. title song is "The nation" and it is theme song of mobile game "Black dessert.. " The feeling of his voice is a quite different from in Hijo de la luna. I like both style .
