I had never thought about the changes in their facial expressions, but after hearing your explanation and watching it again, I definitely notice their expressions change from smiling at first to something different. It was good to hear something I hadn't realized before!!

Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Forestella again! This is from old English folk song. Simon & Garfunkel version is the most famous as far I know. There are some stories about this song Scarborough Fair..what I've read was this is a song from a ghost (soul) of a dead soldier. He asked the herbs growing on his dead body to deliver his message to his beloved girl in Scarborough Fair where was a big herb market. He asked the herbs to tell her impossible task "Tell her to make me a cambric shirt without no seams nor needle work" to make her give up waiting for his coming back as he's already unable as he's dead. Forestella sang like as messengers of this sad and beautiful story. Also there are symbols those herbs significated: parsley for comfort or to remove bitterness, sage for strength, thyme for courage, and rosemary for love. There's some speculation that these four herbs were used in a tonic of some sort to remove curses. What I first heard was to remove memories..so I thought he (the dead soldier) wanted to remove the memory about him from his girl to make her not mourning for him anymore. BTW I found those herbs cannot be grown in the same areas in fact while on my researching English references.. so it could be just for remembering the recipe for turkey seasoning ingredients, too.

Ad ogni modo, qualsiasi pezzo interpretino, sono tutti fantastici. Woorim così profondo e travolgente, Pitta con la sua voce angelica, Bae così coinvolgente con la sua mimica facciale e la sua fantastica capacità attoriale, la precisione e la tecnica impeccabile di Cho...nulla da dire, se non che li adoro. Spero che quando analizzerai "Mama" tu possa concordare con me che anche in quel pezzo sono altrettanto superlativi. Suggerisco anche "Champions" (da brividi) e "Shape of you", altro pezzo reinterpretato magistralmente.

The song can be interpreted so many ways. I love the haunting take they chose for this song (as I really think it's a ghost story). Woorim really grounds them in the solemnity of it all, pulling our beautiful light voices and that emotional Baritone with him. Such a beautiful rendition with such a classic Forestella spin. Thank you for covering it.

Also "Wishmaster" (Nightwish), "Survival" (Muse), Aerials (System of a Down) - the "Survival" concerts were a blast - incredibly good song selection and all outstanding (he is now giving additional concerts). His latest single "Wafe Of The Sea" (Metal) with m/v for the international movie "Noryang" III is also first class. (He is the composer here again).

Thank you Jack, my daughter who just finished her Honours degree in Music -Jazz - Vocal, while visiting me recently really enjoyed your impressive analysis of this performance and found your segment inspiring. I’ve been enjoying your videos for a while now. This is a song close to my heart since childhood and I was pleased to hear you pick up on the depth of interpretation Forestella employed here throughout the performance. They are in a competition here and are responsible for staging besides choosing a song that fits the theme. Your pronunciation of their names is great by the way😅 There is a song called Cherished Face or Face that I Miss. It is in Korean, and it is an interesting performance from these 4. Perhaps an analysis of this one might be worthwhile? I’m really curious..
