@kazhannah Thank you for reacting to this amazing song originally by Jim Croce. Forestella have once again, made this song their own with this incredible version and arrangement. It is one of my favourite songs since childhood, but I have fallen in love with it again because of this performance of it by Forestella. While paying homage to the original, they have beautifully expressed the urgency of time especially since Jim Croce was killed in a plane crash on his way to play at another concert before the song became a hit. He had originally in 1971 written it after his wife told him they were to have their first child , and sadly he was killed a week and a day before his son’s 2nd birthday. To my mind, FORESTELLA’s unexpected and sudden change in tempo is mirroring Croce’s sudden and unexpected death…and what many other ways they also chose to interpret aspects of this song has to be left for another day, but oh the ending🥺, that mournful note, that ticking of the clock, ….just masterful and heartbreaking 💔 😢

Thanks for your fantastic reaction to Forestella again! Look at the clock face carefully, then you'll see it was reversed. So while they were singing, time was going backward! They made me crazy imagining stories with that. They are good storytellers, and I love it. I felt the lyrics was what they were talking to each other. That show was Phantom Singer All Stars, they were invited as the 2nd season's winner 3 years after their debut. They were always together like more than 300/365 days an year and sharing their tough times. Happy for them they escaped the ex-agency and moved to new good working one. (Now they are with Beat Interactive you can see the logo in their music videos like Save our lives, Utopia, White Night etc.)

hi @manaciel I was intrigued by your reference to them singing about themselves because I had the same gut feeling.. then u mentioned re their escape from their agency…?? As a recent fan, I’ve only heard very vague references to a hard time… has that impacted on distribution and why globally everyone who hears their music is asking why we’ve not heard this incredible music sooner? Always curious to learn more about their journey…

@@hildommarOh it's a long story... Their ex-agency was Arts & Artists, a collaborating company with Universal Music Classics, quite good for classical opera singers because they could publish high quality recordings and set some popular (in the classical audience) concert. But it was a small agency less than 10 personnels which didn't have any experience on fan management or global promotion. The contract with A&A (for 1 year I guess) was one of the winners' benefits till Phantom Singer 2. Forestella extended it once. The contract was expired in 2021 (30 June) and fans were announced they moved to Beat Interactive on 2 August in 2021. On that day fans could have "official fan cafe" for the first time after 3 years from their debut. And official KZfaq channel, official Twitter (became X now..) account on the same day. A&A blew good chances to promote them like their Bohemian Rhapsody (2019), Champions (2020), Smooth Criminal & Thriller (2021) so their fans celebrated that they escaped from ex-agency. Even A&A supported good musicians like master sessions and good arrangers, Forestella deserved much more than A&A could provide. Interestingly Kang HyungHo is still with A&A as an individual, and A&A set quite nice rock concerts for him even it's a classical agency.😂

@@manaciel Thank you…this is such great background info…🙏🏼💕Yes, I did notice Kang is still with them…interesting. Perhaps they’re dipping their toe in non-classical waters??? 🥵 ... They must be beating themselves black & blue for the missed opportunity as u said with those 4 cover songs that u mentioned…because they’re just being shared like crazy right now due to reaction videos globally. Hope Forestella continues to build their following exponentially from here on. There music making is just too good to ignore.

Hi! I’d like to recommend you a new crossover group from South Korea I discovered recently. It’s called “Forténa” with combination of four tenors(I’ve heard it’s the first crossover group with four tenors). One of the members is a very famous count tenor(His name is DQ Lee and played in lots of operas all over the world). When I heard their very much first cover song “Neaolis” and “Demain n’existe pas“ in a competition program, I had goosebumps everywhere. I’m sure you would like it and I’d love to hear your opinion about their singing as a vocal coach! Thanks and I always appreciate your all reactions!
