Hello! You are correct, Forestella is a crossover group. They are absolutely fantastic, nicknamed the kings of harmonies. Utopia is probably their strangest song… they do a phenomenal cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, which you must react to. They cover lots of classics, “Nella Fantasia”, “Scarborough Fair”, “Time in a bottle”, Lara Fabian’s “Je suis malade”, “Maldita se suerte ”, “Parla piu piano”, “Hijo de la Luna” and so many more. More modern covers would be to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth criminal”, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of you”, Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”, Exo’s “Mama”, and just released, “Legends never die” and “Despacito” (if you don’t like that song, you will like the Forestella version!). They also have originals; “For life”, “Save our lives”, “White nights”, and “utopia which you just reacted to. Composed of the deep base, opera singer Ko Woorim; Ténor/Soprano/ rock opera singer Kang Hyungho who never had formal voice training but is fantastic, Cho Mingyu, opera singer, tenor, leader of the group, and Bae Dohoon, musical singer/actor. Forestella was put together through the Phantom Singer 2 contest in 2017, and are incredibly popular in South Korea, starting to get known in the rest of the world. They are known for their beautiful harmonies, non stop practice and the family bond they created between themselves. 4 totally different voices used to get the best effect in each song. "Utopia" é uma música conceitual e a segunda parte de uma trilogia. Parte I i "Save our Live" e III o recém-lançado "White Night". Cada um completamente diferente em estilo e também um "MUST SEE" - E é claro que eles tocam com essas músicas AO VIVO. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world! Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed. You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! If you are a LOL fan, check their Warriors and Legends Never Die! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us, Unwritten Legend and Despacito too. Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible. Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check. Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia! Recently, they released their new original song, White Night. This is the 2nd part of their trilogy. You can see act 4~6 here. The 1st part was their Save our lives and you can find act 1~3 there. The theme of the song was like Utopia for human beings might be dystopia for nature. And we need to find a true Utopia to co-exist together. In the end of Save our lives- their original song as well, previous of Utopia, you can see the World Tree was growing up. That concept of world tree of life is from Nordic myth's Yggdrasill so their concept and story is also a crossover of the biblical metaphors and nordic mythical symbols.. and they took the 4 elements idea of Aristotle in the Save our lives like each of Forestella is representing an element like the Fire, the Water, the Air and the Earth. Interestingly, their vocal ranges fit the elements for each too. We can just guess and imagine stories, I think we can get everything clearer when the 3rd part is released. The composer is a Dutch named Valensia who lives in Valencia in Spain. Forestella requested him to make an operatic part like Bohemian Rhapsody as Valensia was so strongly influenced by Queen, like to have made Queen tribute album himself. Actually his first demo version of Utopia was named Valencia, like Barcelona by Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballé, a hymn for Valencia. But Forestella changed the lyrics to suit their World Tree and Utopia concept. It's interesting that still we can find some names of local spots in Valencia, lol. They had more than 17K takes and used more than 400 tracks for this one song. It took more than 2 months of recording as far as they said. As always they sound better in live, so check out their live performance in Mnet too! This song is really addictive and became an earworm in my head like constantly.

A inspiração realmente é o Queen, eles são extremamente ecléticos, ao vivo não perdem nada. Realmente dois tem formação Clássica o baixo e o tenor, um deles o contratenor sopranista, era engenheiro químico, o quarto era cantor de teatro musical, se encontraram em um reality show e foram unidos ali. Cantam em diferentes idiomas do coreano óbvio, inglês, espanhol, Itália, francês, zulu, russo e sabe lá Deus do que são capazes. São incríveis e depois que se começa a acompanhar o trabalho deles você fica querendo sempre mais.

Eles são fantásticos! Sou fã já faz um tempinho. Essa música é uma continuação de Save our Lives muito linda também deles.

It's somewhat difficult to grasp the whole complexity and beauty of this song at first glance, but I could see that you were catching the essence of this masterpiece!! As you said, they are cross over group (2 with opera background, 1 is a musical actor, and the other 1 is (don't be surprised) a chemist), and this song was composed by Valensia (who is heavely influenced by Queen, and he is famous for his legendary song Gaia). And you have so much more to react to!!!! The cover all genres with impeccable perfection, you will be just amazed.
