“Urazumiko” is a wooden structure installed on the slope of the mountain side. This timber frame is used in places where the slopes on the mountain side are high, and plays a role in promoting greening while stabilizing it. There is a point to be noted in the installation method of backing.
First of all, it's easy to move the logs from the top down, so if you're on a slope, it's a good idea to put them together on the uphill side. However, the logs must be separated by a suitable distance to allow space for the backhoe to work.
Next, in order not to lose sight of the original position of the road shoulder, it is important to install a road surface preparation work on the road shoulder. This makes it possible to back calculate the position of the base log of the back masonry. In addition, when the soil is treated and returned to the original road surface, the work becomes easier by using the road surface preparation work as a standard.
Regarding the direction in which the backhoe is working, it is basic to operate it downward. It is easier to scoop the soil with a bucket facing downwards, and the soil can be accumulated efficiently if the blade is in front.
Finally, it is about how to compact the soil by pressing it densely between the timbers. The soil is scooped with a bucket to form a slope, which is then compacted sideways to create a sturdy backfill. When rolling from the side, it may be difficult if the width is narrow, but it can be handled by using a small rear swing type backhoe.
Compared to other timber framing, the installation of backing is more peculiar and difficult, but it can be done effectively by paying attention to the points above.

崩れ処理　路面処理工　裏積工8倍速
「裏積工」とは、山側の法面に設置する木組みのことです。この木組みは、山側の法面が高くなる場所で使用され、安定させつつ緑化を促す役割を果たします。裏積工の設置方法には注意点があります。
まず、準備した丸太は上の丸太を下に移動させるのが簡単ですので、坂道の場合は上り側にまとめて置くと良いでしょう。しかし、バックホーが作業するスペースを確保するために、丸太を適切な距離で離す必要があります。
次に、もとの路肩の位置を見失わないためには、路肩に路面処理工を設置しておくことが重要です。これにより、裏積工の土台丸太の位置を逆算することができます。また、土を処理してもとの路面に戻す際も、路面処理工を基準にすることで作業が容易になります。
バックホーが作業する際の向きについては、下り向きで操作することが基本です。下り向きのほうが土をバケットですくうのがやりやすく、排土板が前にあると土を効率的に集積できます。
最後に、木組みの間に密に土を押し込んで締め固める方法についてです。土をバケットですくい、法面を形成し、それを横から転圧することで頑丈な裏積工を作成します。横から転圧する際には幅員が狭い場合には難しいかもしれませんが、後方小旋回タイプのバックホーを使用することで対応できます。
裏積工の設置は他の木組みに比べてクセがあり、難しい作業ですが、上記のポイントに注意することで効果的に行えます。
