I appreciate the crochet videos so much because it’s like a lot of hair KZfaqrs moved to mostly wig installs and although there’s nothing wrong with wigs, I’d rather see protective/natural styles

When I tell you I have been searching for a pattern where it wasn't "I gave up on the back" 😂. I love this! I will be doing my hair like this for my birthday ❤ UPDATE: First of all, my arms were dead tired doing the braid down 😫. Because I haven't done my own hair in a while, it took longer since I took breaks from start to finish. But babyyyyyy, the hairstyle is eatingggg!!!! And what I loved most about it is that I had the control of where to sew down the ends of the hair during the braiding process. The amount of times I've had crochet styles that put pressure on the top of my head, and it's always the same spot that starts hurting after 2 days. Now I did follow the crochet pattern in the back, while in the front I added more hair in between as I like a really full look. But when I lifted the braids in the back and said, now THIS is versatile! The whole hairstyle just MUAH 👄.

I completed this style today in 6 hours for the first time EVER doing crochet no type of experience at all😂.. Thank you so much Cryssy! I wish KZfaq would allow us to upload photos in the comments section. That would be dope. New subbie btw wish I would have found you sooner 💕

I am72 years old, but I enjoy my twist & braids. Love this...I'm doing my twist right now using the illusion method, but I did not know what to do with the back. Thanks for showing me how. I have seen the back done with circular cornrows also, but I can't seem to get the hang of that. This is beautiful, just as you are.

I too wear it up pretty much always lol I usually just cut a thick rubber band, flip my hair upside down and tie and tuck it. It holds great and comes off easily when I’m ready.
