The process of manufacturing (forging) a blade from a rope. On the cutting edge, steel is W 110, zone hardening is 62 units.

Frequently Asked Questions: The roller is long - but not a single stroke is missed on the steel. The billet is soaked in kerosene. This is necessary for good welding (forging) steel. I sprinkle flux (90% borax + 5% quartz sand + 5% charcoal powder) this is necessary for forging (forge) welding. The flux is alloyed with scale - the formed substance is sufficiently fluid and is easily displaced by deformation. In addition, the flux protects against oxygen and charcoal, carburizes the surface layer of metal - which lowers the welding temperature (if in brief). Hmm. No, you dont want that shit. Because of the description i thought it must be a east-german ("Ostzonaler") because of that creapy maybe half a century old maschine what is not even be bolted to the ground (because they dont even know how to do that right) BUT than i read the channcel description. Borax or some other type of flux. Prevents corrosion which occurs rapidly at high temperatures.

+Valerka blin Так само клеймо и осталось "старым", стал более технологичным способ его нанесения. Теперь точнее контролируется перпендикулярность к поверхности нанесения и глубина. Все гениальное просто.

Когда из жидкости для травления вытаскивали, то вроде ни то, ни се. Но, когда мытый, шлифованный стало видно вблизи. Это Ооо класс. Каждая проволочка проявилась. Красота. А работа тоже отлично. Сейчас передача идет на Хистори "Между молотом и наковальней" про соревнование кузнецов, вот бы вам там принять участие. После той передачи и вашего видео, становится понятен принцип ковки холодного оружия.

Дмитрий, как и все остальные, клинок первый класс. Узор интересный очень. Я уже много пересмотрел ваших видео про Дамаск из троса, и у меня появился очередной вопрос. Что если сплести трос из 2-х сталей, в смысле сделать свой трос. Я уверен вам собрать такой станок будет под силу. И получиться еще более интересный рисунок. Я еще такого не видел. shurap Единственное что я нашел это проволоку из нержавейки и из обычной стали, может такое попробовать? Ведь на режущий край все равно можно хорошую приварить. Я только не знаю если это нержавейка сварится.

@@herbenevolence4198 maybe unethical or immoral, but not necessarily illegal. He has his videos on an open forum and open to the public. Thereby unless using his video in its entirety, it falls under fair use. Maybe he should make his videos private to only subscribers oh, then that would alleviate this issue. But frankly I don't think he's going to be able to do much about them using his video cuz I'm sure they didn't use the whole thing. It sucks, cuz I like watching this guy and I don't feel that it's right that another company is using his work to advertise their stuff especially if their stuff is sub par, but depending on the means in which they did so, it's not necessarily illegal.

Посыпаю флюсом (бура 90% +кварцевый песок 5% + порошок древесного угля 5%) это нужно для проведения (кузнечной) сварки. Флюс сплавляется с окалиной - образовавшаяся субстанция достаточно текучая и легко вытесняется при деформации. Кроме того флюс защищает от кислорода и за счёт древесного угля, науглероживает поверхностный слой металла - что понижает температуру сварки (если вкратце).

это не дамасская сталь. В дамасской стали слои самородноо железа (с высокой чистотой) чередуются со сталью. Возникает амартизационый эффект. А это просто слоистая сталь. Где узор определяет просто сварной шов 2 одинаковых сталей.

Awesome work! Thanks for explaining the flux. I know nothing about forge welding and was wondering what that was and the purpose for it.
