I own the Fleuron Hortensia bag. It's a beautiful bag with a statement clasp - I love it. The leather is soft and feels great. Great craftsmanship. The only con if I had to pick one is because the leather is soft, when closing the bag if you don't hold the flap to close the bag, the back of the clasp hits the metal attachment on the bag and causes scratches. It's on the inner side, so its not noticeable on the bag, but just wanted to mention it. The Ateliers Auguste bags don't have that issue as the leather is sturdier (for lack of a better term) and the flap always hits the clasp perfectly. Hope that makes sense. Cheers!

I have two pre-loved *gtdupe* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

I had an issue with the clasp changing the strap to a chain and they replied me via WhatsApp very quickly. I love handbags that are very well made with exquisite materials. All ten of these shops fit perfectly into that mantra. I am not a snob - there is a place and time for an inexpensive bag - but I prefer to spend a little more than a Wal-Mart to get a bag that will be passed down to my family than one that will disintegrate within a year. My sister puts her nose in the air when I spend $300 on a bag. I did spend that particular amount 18 years ago on a bag that I still use to this day. My sister spends about $40 every year; you don’t have to be a genius to see I have spent way less. About ten years ago, Barbie pink was THE colour of the summer and I loved how it looked in all the bags. Because it was a fad, though, I bought an inexpensive bag that I didn’t care that it was not in style the next year. Now that I am sixty years old, I have a small collection of bags that are classic lines, neutral colours, and quality materials. They can carry me through just about any situation I might run into, but I know that a few more will creep in over time. It is really nice knowing I can take one bag on a vacation that will be suitable for everything I may do, it didn’t break the bank to buy it, and it will outlast me. Bags are so easy to take care of and are one of my favourite fashion accessories!

I love the suggestions, a lot of nice variety especially with different styles. I've been feeling a little too much saturation in the rising popularity of Polené, especially after their price hike. I can see Fleuron being an emerging brand in the coming years. That hardware looks lovely! OLEADA actually reminds me a lot of KAI! They are similar in that they recycle leather, but I think it's a turn off for those who want bags that are made primarily of leather. The only way the bags are "waterproof" and "scratch proof" as they say is because it is bonded and finished with plastic.

You look very comfortable. Also, I really enjoyed your old video guide to shopping in New York - it would be great if you continued the series elsewhere. For example, I'm in a suburb of London but I'm new to *condup* shopping so I don't know where I'm going or what to buy in my city.

I'm not into designer anything, and I hate the LV print, so I'd never want to carry one. So many of these brands have a similar sized bag and they seem quality and sturdy. I have the Fleuron Pivonne & Swann. I love both. Smooth, soft leather. I pre-ordered the Pivonne (it was a specific color) so that took a while to get but the Swann came in a few days to the US. My one complaint is that they are slightly too small, but I tend to carry a larger wallet so this forces me to be more streamline in what I carry.

I know an arty bag isn't your style, but it looks great with the arty hem on your dress and boots. It may not be an everyday bag, but it looks like it was made for that outfit :) What a fun day! *condup*

The old Cambridge Satchel is very affordable second hand. I picked one up (non- monogrammed) from Vinted for £15, absolute bargain, should last years if looked after. Lots of choice of colours, too.

My friend's waist bag is from H Q D U P S. I also like designer bags. But they are too expensive. I will definitely buy a few more because they are very practical!

I love my ATP Atelier Arezzo bag! I believe they are Scandinavian and produce in Italy. They have great timeless designs and are not (yet) plastered all over social media 😅 Also Strathberry ticks all the boxes for me 👍🏼

I love Demiellier London, and I will not stop buying them. I’ve been wearing them and Strathberry for several years and I’ve had nothing but great quality and customer service for them. They are my go to in the mid luxury realm.

I have a Louis Vuitton bag and I also like that the brown handles don't show obvious signs of wear - I don't like the original leather handles turning yellow. Additionally, Damier is actually an original canvas from LV. Still, it's a classic LV bag that will likely retain or increase in value over the years. *condup*

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *preluxs* . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.
