Thank you for this video. I own 40 acres in the Arkansas Ozarks. We have no "major food sources". No food plots, no ag fields, etc. We have oak forest. I try to do just what you said, find a place they like to travel through to get from one spot to another. I'm 71 now and not as mobile as I once was, but I still like to get out there and hunt them!

Thanks for covering this issue. This is exactly the scenario I’m facing on a large new property i have permission to. I’m going to go mobile for the late season and use what i learn now and next fall.

I never understood the whole “observe then move” strategy. I hunt pressured public in the Northeast (NY) you could observe all day every day and never see a deer. You can’t make a move without seeing one. And if I knew where I would be able to observe them I would just hunt there. Public deer out here just don’t move or flat out leave the property after opening weekend of gun.

Thanks. I always learn something from your content. I assume buck deer will bed close to their food source in the late season.
