Forged from a coil spring a knife is. Creative problem solving is undertaken, I'm firing my makeup person and have you seen these new tomatoes they're growing?
Curly Redwood handles, leather and brass spacers.

For sharpness test, only True test is can it filet onion skin paper and not go through?

Hey man, a cool trick to drilling round stock like that is to chuck the drill bit in upside down then lower it down and clamp the bit in the vise. Then chuck the round stock. Kinda like a lathe. I was able to drill an 1/8th" hole in 3/16” aluminum.

The end result is beautiful with nice lines. If it was in front of me, I would have tried to buy it. It's a treat to see how you went about making it, learning your techniques and mistakes.

I think you underestimate yourself. This knife is a work of art. And I'm not saying this lightly, like I like the knife. No, this is truly a beautiful item. All the curves, edges and shapes are right. Congratulations!

I found it inspiring, because that is exactly the issues I come up to. I also found your honesty refreshing, but you did not need to be apologetic. As some one commented, I also love watching your videos and often out of the box thinking. the shape of your knife really appeals to me and the wood is lovely and pleasing to the eye. you know how many videos i've searched looking for someone making a stacked leather handle in the style of the kabar or the camillus with the big nut as the handle tap? countless, countless hours. awesome video.

I actually like the leather spacers. My favorite knife is one my granddad had with a leather handle. That's just plain ol' ingenuity, not bad work.

This is pretty cool. In Nepal they make khukuris out of leaf springs so its cool to see it done with a coil spring too.

Beautiful knife. Burch bark works so nice. I have used it to make a whole handle (50 pieces).

Love watching these videos... I just finished my 1st integral(a collab someone else forged, I do all stock removal), it isn't as pretty as what you got, but for my 1st try, I'm pretty happy with it... Just a quick tip for drilling (mostly) round stock... load it in your chuck, then center your drill vice on the lowered work. Release the chuck, insert your drill bit and drill that center. As long as your pedestal drill doesn't have a ton of play you should be spot on every time.
