Forging a Troll Cross Belt Buckle for a 1.5" belt out of 12" of 1/4" round mild steel (and a short piece of a used 8d nail.)

I sure would love to try that FLUX. Always willing to try new fluxes to see if iron mountain can be de-throned as my #1 flux.

I may have just never noticed it before or got a bad bottle, but the last IM I had has leached out of every joint I've used it on.

bc65925 I’ve noticed the iron powder settles in the bottle (from shipping and from picking it up and setting it down during use) so you have to shake it up periodically. Otherwise it does get ultra runny in the fire from just the borax and no iron powder.

@@bc65925 Thank you. I do appreciate that, but my belt doesn't use a buckle, and something that nice really needs to be worn. I'm totally okay if you want to do a redraw for a new winner. Thanks so much for the opportunity to own it though.
