Forgotten Disneyland Gazebo - History and Location today! Randomland

Welcome back to Disneyland, but only for a few minutes before we go find a piece of 1955/Opening Day Disneyland that, though forgotten, still exists as sort of an open Disneyland Secret. Let's go find the original Main Street/Town Square Band Stand Gazebo, which was also the original Carnation Plaza Gardens' Gazebo. In fact, this little bandstand got around quite a bunch!

I live a couple miles from there. Awesome! Corona del Mar isn't that far from Disneyland just so you all know. Just a 20-25 minute drive max. So next time you go to Disneyland this trip can easily be done in less than half a day - grab some breakfast, go to Roger's Gardens and then you can be back at Disneyland in time for lunch.

I actually got the chance to play with my high school band for three years in a row at the Carnation Plaza gazebo during the Magic Music Days at Disneyland. It's one of my favorite Disney experiences, so I was a little sad that they changed it. But, that's Disneyland. Always changing. :)

What's awesome is Roger's Gardens rents out a Santa Claus and you can take your kid there and take a photo with Santa FOR FREE!!!! Every year we go it's a great feeling know we have Disney history in our Christmas Photos.

Thank you for sharing this Justin. I grew up in Fountain Valley and I would go with my parents to Rogers Gardens all the time. Now when I visit Rogers Gardens with friends I always go to the Gazebo and share the Disneyland history with them. I will be at Disneyland the first weekend in October and I hope to run into you and Tyler!

I literally LOVE that the gazebo still exists. To be honest, I didn't know anything about it until now, but just knowing that it exists and that it has withstood so much over the years makes me want to go and see it! It's a neat piece of Disneyland history and it's interesting to know that it was an original and in the park when Walt roamed the lands! Every time I go to Disneyland I can't help but think how cool it must have been to have been in the park at the same time as Walt Disney!

Every year I take my kids to meet Santa at this very gazebo. Rogers Gardens is a great place to visit during Christmas time! Thanks for the great video!

Great Post! I thought I knew the full story! I didn't know about the early days of Carnation Corner with the bandstand!! I have made the pilgrimage to Rodgers gardens before ...thanks for filling in the history. Always humorous, informative, and entertaining! I have been going to Disneyland since 1961 and was a cast member in"85 and very often learn new history from your awesome KZfaq vids

My son took a nap in that gazebo! He woke up and the rented stroller was so different from his stroller he had trouble relaxing and was more freaked out than if he had been taken on Mr Toad's Wild Ride too young!

The Royal Theater still has swing dancing on Saturday nights! It's great to go because people will get dressed to the nines and dance really /really/ well.

That was awesome never knew there was a gazebo at Disneyland, I love knowing historic facts about Disneyland cauz whenever I go I'll be like hey look there's the old ticket booth u talked about =) but ya and that garden looks beautiful and that gazebo just makes look just right like it just completes the garden.
