This island is called HOPE ISLAND situated off the coast of Kakinada, in the Bay of Bengal.
Visiting this island was one of the best things which in-turn has given me unforgettable memories and experiences. ❤️

Kudos to You for making the video but how did you manage to take a boat ride in scorching heat ... 🌞 , I was thinking to visit no matter what the hope island looks like but now I have a different view may be I should wait a while till there is any development..........

Honestly, it was never about the island or how it looked like. It was only about the whole experience. The huge ships, the tiny jumping fish, walking in the warm muddy waves to the shore, the whole ocean in front of you with nobody around, the people on the island and their lifestyle, the evening waves that kept rocking your boat, the water that keep splashing onto your face… all of these were worth it :)

As a kid in 90s we used to visit our grandparents in kakinada. Happy to see a flourishing port. Very rarely a ship used to come to kakinada port

Even I am residing in Kakinada , I couldn’t visit hope island atleast once. I’m always curious to go there but got no company. The way you went their and explored/enjoyed, I am feeling a bit of jealous.. this is the first time ever I’m watching how the place would be. Thanks for the video.. you are the first person who actually shown me the place. Will definitely plan to go there very soon. Thank you and Wish you all the best. I do not recommend going there during the rainy season but it would be safer if you check the weather report before and plan a day when there’s no sign of rain at all. You definitely don’t wanna go there when the tides are strong and high. Travel safe! :)

Hai Akhila garu , we are having Gideons meeting in July . So want to visit Kakinada and to Hope Island . May I know whether any APTDC boats are available?? I would like to go with my wife (pregnant ) . Pls advice .

Hi andi! Currently boating services to Hope Island are suspended by AP Tourism. I had gone along with a few fishermen on a small boat with no life jackets or any sort of safety. Hence, I wouldn’t recommend that to you since your wife is pregnant.

Hello George, thank you for your comment. :) I’m an IT employee and may not be able to be of much help as a tour guide. :( But you can let me know when you do visit India, I’ll see what I can do to help you out. :) My email address is mentioned in my channel details. And to answer your questions, the island is situated off the coast of Kakinada (of Andhra Pradesh) in the Bay of Bengal. You can also refer to the map location provided in the description. The language I spoke was Telugu.

Please visit the Fishing Harbour (map location in description) and talk to the locals present there. They’ll take you in a small boat for around ₹3k (you can bargain). If there are other people already waiting there to visit the island, you can go along in the same boat by splitting the amount as well.

Be there in the morning and talk to a few fishermen. They’ll first say tourism is closed and all, but eventually you can convince them to take you there for about ₹3k.
