because the load was empty robust plastic bottles, light enough to lift back onto the pallet by hand and incapable of damaging the roll cage. If he had lift a bit higher before pulling back out he would have been fine.

That was kinda dumb. Why is he trying to move two pallets at the same time? I wouldn't have done that because...ooh, I don't know, it's unsafe maybe? Or am I being silly?!? Trying to save time by cutting corners and not doing the job properly doesn't usually save time...as we've seen here! Has this guy got the hang of it yet?!

It’s poorly stacked first off BUT he should’ve lifted the top one mo matter how light that was the stack was awful he could’ve readjusted the top one then went for the two but idk man he didn’t care haha

It’s poorly stacked for one, it’s on a cheap- white wood pallet for two, and lastly yes he should’ve brought the load down one at a time.

Look at the entire stacking job. I wouldn’t attempt to downstack a pallet anywhere in this place. Where are the safety standards in this warehouse???

UK, but they do this all over Europe. They must be allergic to pallet racking systems. Also check out the clamping forklift videos. stacking five washing machines high.

Those are empty pales not really a huge loss for them unless it falls on someone but as long as you’re inside a forklift then you should be alright. Pales with liquid inside is a different story

Actually these types of stackings r done in order to keep things safe...pallets live and if u would place them all ontop of eachother straight,they gonna drop in 2 weeks from vibrations...u need to stack in a way so u balance out the weight evenly

As much as I would like to speed up the work, I would not grab two pallets at once. I understand trying to get done quickly and efficiently but this mess just adds up way more work.

Either start unstack from the top or go in straight, tilt, go up a lil bit, shift right, go up to clear it from the bottom pallet then back up

He could have taken both pallets just fine but he didn't push his forks all the way thru before lifting them, which is why the pallets starting swerving back and forth until the top pallet fell over.

If he had moved the pallet on the floor in front first, he would have had more control of the stack he was trying to save and he would had been able to go all the way into the pallet rather than trying to grab it on the tip of the forks. He was doomed to fail because he was in too much of a hurry to do the job right the first time. .

The real problem was the palet had collapsed into the product it's sitting on, had to be restacked.

I don't really blame the operator in this situation, completely... b/c.. whoever stacked it before him, created a bad situation.. On that note, this video was just randomly recommended to me, I see it was posted in 2014, is the fork lift operator still alive?

This is a perfect example how most of the people are easily fooled by just marketing and telling them something as news or a trendy thing. Just like here the video suggest that we have a forklift operating failure going on here. But that is not the case. The real problem and the very first issue here is with the stacking of such pallets, which is 100% wrong and against every safety regulations. If anything, this video actually shows what will happen when you storage things wrongly in a warehouse.

It’s both, as a forklift operator he should have known that the top one was unstable, about to fall and taken that off first, followed by the other two, but yes those should not have been stacked like that
