Cold in Winter, inbound gets some terrible loads because of damages and stuff shifting and if you miss a picture of something damaged and it makes it to the next terminal and they spot it it comes back on you.

you gotta be tougher than the job and not sit around and talk like its social hour all the time and move freight like nobody else. breaker trailer after breaker trailer till ya got no more trailers in Arive status only empty and load status gotta keep that forklift moving drive it like ya stole it .. i work in the LTL freight world at XPO Logistics i see people come and go all the time just because they can't compete with us that already work there

@@AngeChavo i'm full time have been since i have been working for XPO Logistics i work night shift . we have three shifts that can work anywhere from 12 to 13 and 14 hours a day depending on how much freight we have flowing though the terminal . i have been able to afford buying a six year old pickup truck from working here for 6 months

Not if you work for Companies like Old Dominion, Saia, Estes, Dayton or ABF Dock workers are minimal 20/hr for Part time! I’m at OD and a friend of mine is at Dayton he’s already at $24/hr as a dockworker and I capped out at $26 with OD. I’m driving now so 30+ is accurate. I personally wouldn’t be doing cross docking for less than 20/hr those are for the weaker/less revenue driven ltl carriers.

@comeatmebro. the seats are a bit uncomfortable but the Nissan I use aren't slow. I have a 2018 that all the settings are set to high. Now when they have them turned down they are slow. I had 1997 Toyota when I first started. That thing ripped

@@jakereed8282 everyone has their preferences. The hysters are garbage IMO. The steering wheel are at an uncomfortable angle no matter how you adjust the tilt of it. The seats have no suspension or back rest adjustments so it hurts your back after bouncing around on it for a few hours. The hood that seat mounts to sticks out to far. so your legs are always touching a very hot piece of metal. Going from reverse to forward has a delay and its sluggish at first. It only has two pedals, gas and brake. Which makes it difficult to handle things In a delicate situation. The propane hose is to short and makes it difficult to swap tanks. The gas pedals are set at a odd height of the floor board. The cup holder is only good for a 12 ounce soda can. Everything else tends to fall out the cup holder. The seat belts are trash. We have to cut them off occasionally because they lock up and people get trapped in them. The safety features malfunction on a regular basis. The forklift parking brake alarm will go off randomly and causes the controls to stop working. So you have stop and pull the parking brake. Then release your seatbelt, then reconnect the seatbelt and release the parking brake to get it operational again. If the battery dies it's a pain in the ass to jump start because of the safety feature sensors. I could go on but I've ranted enough already.
