Incredible how they rotate these cars with incredible precision despite mega sized rear tyres and a basic throttle - skill levels unbelievable

Even in 1976 the cars sounded amazing. Now they sound like sewing machines and have about the same amount of charisma as a sewing machine.

Not sure if the sound is original. I guess in those times filming was without sound. But yes the cars sounded much better. Go and watch an Oldtimer GP, that is the real stuff

Ist ja wahnsinniges Videomaterial... vor allem die Szenen im Fahrerlager. Dazu der sechsrädrige Tyrell. Und dann die ganzen alten Fahrerlegenden... Hunt, Maas, Scheckter. Das war das letzte Mal, dass die grüne Hölle ein F1-Rennen gesehen hat.

Wunderbarer Film, bin direkt in der Anfangssequenz verdeckt zu sehen, wo ich als Schüler versuche, das Nürburgring-Magazin zu verkaufen. Das Heft war sehr gut gemacht mit Artikeln der damaligen Topjournalisten. Wollte aber keiner haben. Geld verdient habe ich nicht, aber mit meinem Ausweis kam ich überall rein, sogar ins Fahrerlager. Und ich muss zugeben, dass mich das Treiben im Fahrerlager mehr interessiert hat als der Verkauf des Nürburgring-Magazins. Und durch den Verleger Werner Winter erfuhr ich recht früh, wie schlimm es um Niki stand. Wir waren alle total schockiert.

Though these cars where lot more dangerous, now you can just walk away from a car in full fire it seems, like Romain Grosjean did att the end of last year. But I wish there was more variation when it comes to designs.

Ja, 1976, da war ich dabei. Den ganzen Tag Brünnchen. Morgens noch ziemlich frisch. Da fuhr Keke Rosberg noch Formel 3. Natürlich habe ich gesehen, wie Maass mit riesigem Vorsprung das Feld anführte. Als dann der Unfall passierte, war erst mal mehr als eine Stunde Ruhe, bis dann der Abschlepper mit dem ausgebrannten Lauda-Ferrari vorbeikam.

Thank you for uploading. The 6 wheel Tyrell looks like a UFO ;o) against the normal F1 cars. One thing jumpt in my eye, the drivers and the mechanics do not so that they are from a other planet like sometimes today is it. They do what they had to do.
