Former Hout Bay poachers trained as commercial divers

Several former poachers from Hout Bay in the Cape Peninsula are being trained as commercial divers. Instead of illegally poaching abalone and crayfish, their newly acquired skills will be used for the greater good. Seven men from the Hangberg community and residents from Mitchells Plain and Bonteheuwel are receiving free training to salvage sunken vessels in the Hout Bay harbour.
