'Time for the Moon Night' is literally PURE ART. It's melancholic & dramatic (the bass & violins made it even more dramatic 😍), the chord progression is very interesting & complex, the melody is BEAUTIFUL, the overall song is unpredictable & feels like a journey when you're listening to it. I swear the composer is a genius!! Gfriend did justice to the song too! They delivered the emotions so well & the lines are distributed perfectly. Lastly, as usual, Gfriend's vocals SLAYED 🔥🔥🔥

Based on something i've read, yes, eunha died in the story (oh shit it's my bias and i'm crying like an ugly shit) and the place where yuju went is actually eunha's grave. And the paper planes that umji throw is for eunha who's at the heaven. While yerin is listening to eunha's favorite song/the item is actually eunha's item (that's why yerin cries). And that moment where sowon was alone on the bridge with the lightning at the background, she was about to jump the bridge. Sowon is the only one who remains happy because she doesn't want the other members to be sad about eunha's death. And that's all that i could remember sheesh

They said that it has the connection on the song summer rain. In summer rain, eunha is the only one who accepted the pain (thus the rain) and she's only one who's heart is broken, it fills her and committed suicide, the members cant cope the fact that euha died. Sowon cheering them up but inside shes suffering, yerin listen to eunhas favorite music and she have euhas things, umji sending letters through paper plains and notice she have a lot of bruises and wound on her knees they said that means she's suicidal, yuju visiting eunhas grave they created and she got some of eunhas stuff, and sinb the one who cant accept eunhas death, she's visits euhas house or apartment. Eunha can be with them every night through their dream, at the end where she look back, she deeply regretted what she did. Other thoery is that it is about suicide and depression, and it is a tribute to shinee's member jonghyun's death.

Here's a little peak 🤗 Eunha actually died because of a heartbreak and she actually commited suicide. It is the reason why all of them are sad. You can observe on their Summer Rain mv that eunha is the only one soaking wet in the rain, the reason? She was feeling the pain. That was the time when she got brokenhearted. On the first part of the mv, we can see her closing the curtains, meaning it is the finale/end for the time of her life. When she died, all of them tried to cope up for their loss. Umji here is always being positive as you can see she played paperplanes in the mv, her dream for all of them was actually in there but you see all of the paperplanes ended up down, same as her dreams for them that cannot be possible anymore because eunha died and you can see her visible knees wounding, this actually means she could be suicidal. And then next we have, yerin, as you can observe she was the one who is trully affected of eunha's loss, why? Because they are the closest among the girls that's why she was feeling very down and that sowon had to comfort her, the time when she was crying, she was actually listening to their favorite song. Next we have yuju, in the mv, you can see her walking through eunha's grave bringing all eunha's things that we can see in their mvs like Navillera, Fingertip, love whisper and summer rain. She is also actually affected of eunha's loss but she needs to let her go, that is the reason why she let those pink balloons float up into the sky, pink trully means friendship and love. Next is sowon, for being the oldest, she needs to be strong for them, she might not let them see how sad she is but everytime she's alone, she actually let out all her emotions for eunha's loss. Next ee have sinb, as you can observe, sinb was the most calm and positive among the girls, why? Because she can feel eunha's spirit for they're actually soulmates, in the fingertip mv we can see sinb's spirit coming out from eunha's body, it is the reason why she's staying calm for she knows that eunha is with them. And time for the moon night means they're actually excited because it means they can see eunha again every moon night, they can see her in their dreams, feeling that eunha's still with them. In the last part of the mv, you'll see how eunha turned her head, meaning she regret for killing herself.

True. Time for the moon night is not an earworm but it indeed gets better the more you listen to it which explains why it took 3 weeks for it to reach number 1 on Melon.

Yes, this comeback is what I wanted for Gfriend! I wanted some growth in their sound and I was impressed. Their mini album is also worth the listen. It's different to their past discography but it keeps the "Gfriend sound" and the sincerity in their vocals.

not sure if this is right? Eunha died in this mv.. SinB doesn't believe that Eunha's dead so she's running to her (Eunha) apartment just to see it's empty.. Yuju hugged Eunha' grave... And although Sowon looks like she's okey... but if you notice it... she's standing on a bridge while a storm... I cried watching this... And when Umji throw the paperplanes, she want to give message to Eunha in the heaven.. but cant. That's why the paperplanes touch the ground.. Yerin cried because Eunha's dead and she listen to their fav song and drove her into more tears..That's why they can only see Eunha when it's fullmoon...

I loved this comeback! I was not really a fan of their "Parallel-era" so this one brought me back to loving them. Their sound has matured, and as you said, they're still keeping their identity. It's like an upgrade from the first part of their discography! I hope they're gonna keep going up from this, and maybe once in a while do something like "Fingertip".

I absolutely love how they've matured in this comeback. The girls actually participated closely with the song's composer, so this route is the direction the members want to take as a group. Apart from that, storywise they have hinted to watch their previous MVs for the story. Meaning there should be a connecting storyline. So there is a possibility they'll continue!! The reason why this song sounds so different from the GFriend sound we’re used to is because the producers of their songs have changed. Before it used to be Iggy and Youngbae that made their old songs for example, Navillera, Fingertip and Rough as you mentioned, but now, it’s 노주환 & 이원종 (I don’t know how their names are romanized). Because GFriend had such a distinctive sound, this change in sound is kind of weird and noticeable but it’s not a bad change. It sounds good anyways.

Lets talk about SinB looking godly and her vocals shinin more usual

When I first saw the MV, I was disappointed because the music video was confusing, I didn't like the song and thought it should have been more of an ochestral rock song. But it has really grown on me. The song is really catchy after you listen to it a few times and the choero is on point as always. So glad they are trying something new and branching out from the old gfriend roots :)

Thanks for this GFriend - TFTMN MV reaction video and I enjoyed watching it. ^^ I know my reply is a bit late but it's very true that their video and music now is very different because they change their producer and song writer that's why their style of music change too. :) And I super like this comeback a lot because compared to their other comebacks that they have... this music, rhythm, feel of MV, dance choreography and everything is so different and beautiful and it suits them so well. From their debut to Parallel/Rainbow Album their style of music has always been the same. With the Electric Guitar... almost same rhythm and even to the cute, school girl concept. TFTMN will be more of the dreamy, mysterious, sad and still got the pop style to it. :D

I think this somehow relates to the fingertip and love whisper MVs. The tape that yerin listens to looks like the one from love whisper and like this MV, eunha also plays a major role in fingertip. Maybe they’re a series of events released out of order?

This song is art and I found it the most different from other Gfriend's songs (which is nice). All the sounds and rhymth (sorry I'm not a music genius) and the MV is so aesthestic pleasing. First time I listen this song, i feel confused because of unique song structure. But the more i listen, its actually very good song and addictive. After listening this song many times, it still feels new. The song structure is very interesting. That's why never feel bored when you listen again. Its great. The dramatic also sentimental part gives me goosebumps. The emotion they deliver through this song is really nice. I can feel it. Their vocal is awesome. The harmonization, the high note was good. It has Gfriend vibe but at the same time its different than their usual style. The overall sound production is brilliant & unique. I understand why this song become hit at Korean music chart.

eunha’s dead. and then the mv shows how each members handle eunha’s death. in the mv at the end, they’re basically finding her grave and then, when they shined the light on eunha’s grave it was actually reflected to eunha as we can see, meaning she’s really dead. eunha always shows up at night, hence the title, _time for the moon night_ this is basically a summarized theory of what ive read and understand about time for the moon night mv. hehe

There’s a thread on twitter from user colenixs (or is it coienixs i forgot) about the actual story timeline which expands from glass bead up until tftmn. Short explanation: Eunha died. She committed suicide in the room SinB came into on Yuju’s high note part. The room situation is unsurprisingly similar to.. Fingertip! And it goes on. The thread is pretty wild and makes sense. I love TFTMN so so much. It’s my personal favorite title track along with Rough which is already a god-tier song. Gfriend is maturing musically and still keep their trademark: powerful instrument, touching lyrics, knife-like choreo, and stunning vocal. I’m so happy from this comeback! Speaking about the lyrics... The actual lyrics of TFTMN is pretty depressing despite the whole song sounding happy, powerful, and cute (at some points). I can totally see if it’s related to suicide and depression.

Hiiiii i am from Madagascar, i involve in classical and jazz music. My little cousins hear a lot of kpop and at first i was not so interested cause i don't like so much contemporary pop music. At the first time i listen to this song, i was with my friends and our thought was like "wait, is this a japanese song?" because from the intro all the way to the chorus is feels like that. And to be honest it was funny that you thought that the song would be taking similar way to Dreamcatcher's stuff because it was exactly what i was thought too when hearing the intro. This song btw, seems like they're growing and become more mature in terms of their music. It's definitely a lot different sound from their past release but still keeping their initial characters. And yeah, Dreamcatcher is coming back too so don't forget to react to their song (and listen to the mini album) because it looks like they will be go really hard once again with their music.
