I have been training on Assetto Corsa for Formula Drift Japan for months now and with the FD Japan season approaching I am practicing every competition round on my drift sim, with Round 2 being at Ebisu Circuit West! This is the only course of the 6 rounds that I have driven in real life. I love Ebisu Nishi track and the FD layout is really exciting with a big entry and a compression and then a big flick at the last turn, it makes for exciting runs and tandem drifting with a very Japanese drift style. I drove the Tsujigiri RB27 swapped Nissan S14 Silvia with sequential transmission and Wisefab angle kit since its fairly similar to my IRL drift car, Nissan Skyline R32 with RB30! Next up is practicing for FDJ Round 3 at Sportsland Sugo!

Need to throw some first person view drifting in videos like this. It's all cool that you can see how the cars react with each other but it's more immersive for viewers if there is some first person from your VR headset. A1 videos though. Keep grinding

these japan tracks are so sick man. Im really bad at shifting during drifts and i dont have a handbrake set yet. so just practicing throttle control and clutch kicks. good vid dude

I got a handbrake but I never really use it, and I have a full sim, maybe my style of street drifting doesn’t need it but I’d advise not to rely on it too much once you get it

So stoked to see the R32 shred in Japan. I don’t know what it is but the body kit that is on the car reminds me of the old school BN SPORTS you would typically see on a 180SX.

on initiation you want to flick it quite a bit harder and that will set you up nicely for that inner clip. A common mistake i see people make on this track is not throwing enough angle at the first turn, then having to handbrake after zone 1 to angle the car up for the inner clip which ends up setting them on a wider line through that turn

In the chase you should work on a handbrake entry to tuck straight in as the lead car comes back from the flick. Makes it look way cleaner.

play as consistant as possible dont go above your abilities and dont go to quickly trough the basics u rlly need to have them inplanted in your head to drift consistant. ALSO GET YOUR HANDS OF THE HANDBRAKE GODDAMMIT. lmao good luck
