When I’m talking about “primary” & “secondary” oils I’m not referring to Essential oils as the “secondary” oil What I am trying to explain is that within the group of carrier oils I noticed they can be separated into two different sub categories. I like to call those sub categories ”primary” & “secondary” The primary oils are the cheaper oils like almond oil, apricot kernel oil, grapeseed oil, etc. The secondary oils are the really expensive ones, the ones that might stain your skin, like carrot seed or sea buckthorn oil. Or oils that might smell and need diluted like Neem oil. I hope that cleared things up :)

How could i add aloe vera to an oil product? I'm making a body oil and i want to include aloe vera but i'm not sure how, would i need to make my own infuse the oil if so which method would be the best?

Just stumbled across your video looking for an explanation between a "carrier oil" and a "diluent" when adding terpines to food and beverages. (Sometimes it makes more sense when I hear it explained rather than read it) My reading says-- "Diluent: A substance which is combined with a larger volume of another substance to reduce its strength." _I believe these are the *Secondary Oils* you're referring to (i.e. oils that are too expensive/potent to be used on their own.) "Carrier: A substance which is combined with a smaller volume of another substance to reduce its strength. The term carrier is derived from its purpose. Another term for carrier is base." I think these are the *Primary Oils* you're referring to. Examples of carrier oils listed were: Coconut oil, jojoba oil, hemp seed oil, etc. I'm kinda thinking of the general proportions of cough syrup... Primary oil/"Carrier": Inactive ingredients Secondary oil/"Diluent": Active ingredients Essential oil/Terpines: Dyes, flavoring, and fragrances Is this somewhat along the lines of what you're describing?

@@darrenro2 I'm not a professional but from my limited understanding I think that would be considered more of a serum and no longer an "body oil" if that makes sense. Aloe vera isn't an anhydrous product. You would need an emulsifier if you want to combine oil and aloe very together.

If you're looking for a bulk alternative for Vitamin E to save on costs, Tocopheryl Acetate (or Vitamin E Acetate) is a great bulk alternative. Tocopherol is another name for natural Vitamin E and Tocopheryl Acetate is a stabilized version (so not natural unfortunately) that has longer lasting antioxidants. Also using a combo of both is a great way to enhance Vitamin E efficacy.

@@mrsperfectco6981 you apply oil to your skin while its damp honey. Use a drying off baby towel to slightly dry your skin, baby towels are gentle on the skin l always recommend them. Don't dry off your skin all the way, just slightly pat your skin to where its still damp, and the. Apply your oil to your skin. This will allow the oil to penetrate into the skin. Then you can use your cream or lotion of you would like.

I know vitamin E and pro vit B5 are ingredients that will basically evaporate if you add them in the oil or water phase especially when they are hot. You want to heat your oils and waters, then combine them. While they are cooling you add the vit E/ B5 so they don’t evaporate out of the formula. I forget what temperature you can start to add them, but if you go to your supplier website they should tell you an approximate temperature
