The best part is that the whole crowd cheered them embracing without knowing who they are. All they know is a soldier and a hippie, each from different sides, reuniting in the middle of a momentous occasion while in the midst of a protest.

Forrest and Jenny were lucky that they weren't arrested when they were in the reflecting pool in Washington,D.C. long after he took her leave from her the night he told her he was going to Vietnam.

I think that’s what made it so touching. He wasn’t able to of course see her or fully know it was her just by looking, but he loved her so much that her body language, voice, was enough to help him recognize her.

Jenny is the worst person in this movie. She used Forrest his entire life. She was never with him when she was at her best. Had his kid and didn't tell him until she was dying. Only when she was dying did she marry him because she knew she didn't have to be with him long. She is the worst...lol.

No, she wasn't. She carried the pain of sexual abuse in childhood all through her life. Learn some compassion.

@@kdphotos4691 Yes she was the worst person in the movie. He stood up for her and protected her against an abusive boyfriend without a second thought to his own safety. Not even 8 hours later she is back with the guy that hit her. She is a terrible character in that movie.

@@dn1467 - Learn some compassion. Abuse survivors become programmed to accept abuse. They do that until they get therapy or find another way to heal from the trauma. They are in a similar mental health state to war veterans. Compassion. She isn't "terrible." She is an abuse survivor.

@@dn1467 - Again, learn some compassion. It doesn't make her a terrible person to act on the information and where she is at any given moment in time. It doesn't make Forrest Gump not a "terrible" person because he too acted on what he knew at any given time. Calling someone "terrible" for making choices you do not agree with reflects on YOU, not them.
