In this video, we dive into the Forsaken Easter Egg Ending Cutscene Explained! Plot Twist: Richthofen’s son Samuel is actually Samuel Stullinger and that’s why in previous games Richthofen has such a connection to him. Don’t hate me for this.

Plot twist: the boy who died called Samuel was actually Samuel Richtofen, and Edward is not gonna stop until Project Janus brings back his son.

If he named his son Samuel, then could that be a reference to Stuhlinger, naming him after one of his old friends. I mean all versions of the original characters had shared memories of their other selves, perhaps he named him after Samuel to honor his sacrifice in closing the multiverse.

Also, keep in mind, Janus was the God with two faces. The pictures you posted in the video all show the two faces, and for Western mythology, he is often seen as the father of having good and evil inside you. You can think of Janus as the angel and devil sitting on either shoulder arguing of what choice to make.

Two theories, one the area shown is where the inversion rockets hit causing an outbreak zone that he will use to gain access to the dark aether, for either his own purposes or (this is a stretch) to free Samatha (he does say he wants to meet an old friend, could be referring to Sam). Theory two is that if this is the Mariana Trench, one thing we have been shown is that Apothicans Ancients dwell deep down below so possibly one has jump the gap using the inversion rockets and he wants to use/study it.

Coming from Blood of the Dead where it was hard to watch the life fade from Richtofen in the dark mechanism, I want that damn bastard in the chair again holy hell watching all the strike team in full igc just to be framed and arrested sparks a hatred in Richtofen I haven't felt since the Gorod Krovi escort missions

My personal opinion is that Peck is going to help get our requiem strike team along with everyone else out of containment, although that could be because I've always had a sweet spot for Peck and I might just want to see him do something good for us, but that's just my theory
