Personally, I find it difficult to properly utilize the information presented, though, until after I've seen a couple of turns or turn-examples played through. I'm not sure that's something you can add to these or not (or worth it as I'm probably one of the few who has this difficulty). As is, I enjoyed and learned a lot but will need to come back and re-watch it after I've seen some game-play / preview to really have it help my decision ... which isn't a bad thing for KZfaq analytics :-D

Hey I just found your channel and I like this format of review! Some suggestions for improvement: 1. The background music was quite distracting and sometimes a little loud. 2. You mention 7 elements - maybe consider putting time stamps.

I remember checking out the Kickstarter for SPQF at the time I was interested, but the price was $48 plus shipping which was a bit too high for me. $30 plus shipping is more in my range.

Great overview! This game was an easy sell to me as a big fan of Leder Games, but I particularly love the possibility that it's a game with solid enough strategy to play with a bunch of adults, but has a theme that would hopefully appeal to kids as well.

Great video. Don't know that this will slot in with the other games I have. Seems extra combative, and as you indicated I'd almost always take out Root for that. I don't usually like the "breezy" 30-minute games to be too "feel-bad", as we've got over an hour of gameplay time to fill and a game has got to have a certain shine to everyone for it to wrap and play another round or two. I'll be on the lookout for the gameplay videos to change my mind.

Hi, I have been sitting on the fence on this for a while. My wife and I are 2 player and the theme of this game looks good. The price in the UK for once isn't too bad either. Especially if we are getting a good solid game from it. We don't have any leader games in our collection as yet so this may be a good start. Thanks for this review 🎲🥃🇬🇧

Thanks for the overview. This is definitely a buy for me. I hope there's some sort of online version, though (A TTS inplementation would be nice, or even better BGA or Yucata). Otherwise I probably won't get to play it until we get past the lockdown.

Wanted to chime in! Right off the bat you say this is a "brand new game", but Fort is in reality a reimplementation of SPQF from 2018. Otherwise, thanks for the review! Game looks gorgeous.

Getting an early copy IS same as being sponsored or paid. I am a massive fan of Leder as well, but I don't get that for free.

Some notes on your review method... Some game play (or simulated) would have been better than advertising "Leder games" countless times (oh wait this was not a paid or sponsored videos). I got to this video from Board Game Geeks and found several other videos that explained the complexity of the game through simulated circumstances. Does it integrate into the Leder Games lineup.... or is comparable to its predecessors, is not as important as say more details about things such as the private actions and public actions partially being completed or the lookout or best friends that was glossed over. Making references to other titles in the Leder Games lineup...serves no purpose to people who this is the first look at a game from this company. (root spqf). If a viewer has to stop and look up the references was the purposes served in this vid? The strategy and constant engagement required (no going to the bathroom on someone else's turn) You speak clearly and are very articulate using words specifically which I do not see often. Fortunately I do not use just one review. I do plan on purchasing the game but felt the review was a bit long with some components missing. I found it hard to stay interested in the review to the end.
