This is a serious environmental issue. City should clean the property up and add the costs to the tax bill with a hard due date. If not paid in time, put a lien on it and sell at a foreclosure auction.

Unless the landowners hired an entire army of people with equipment, there is no way they could clean up that mess in just 30 days. That would have a very high price tag which it seems like the landowners are not likely to pay.

For anyone reading this or who doesn’t know this is a huge loophole in Texas and I don’t know about other states but for sure in Texas. You’ve got people sitting on multimillion dollar land acreages and they pay nothing in taxes. Now I don’t think we should be taking peoples land away, but I also don’t think you should be able to just hold onto all the land in Texas and not pay any taxes. You need to be taxed at a significantly higher rate for unused land. You gotta learn how to share people.

Has Texas looked at Midland County by road hwy's. Or where and how the Texas Water commision ignores how "Endeavor" simply collapsed it's oil drilling mud pit into a treanched ditch 15 foot deep encircling the origion lined pitt for fracking? " Guess that was too impress thee EPA". That was recorded by my longtime good friend and nieghbor from his roof top over the temporary 6ft high blind the contractor or whoever put up while digging the trench. I saw the recorded video and called the local water conservation commision, he arrived next morning, properly dressed too impress, "Cowboy hat, bolo tie and boots with credentials". Showed him the video, took him outside to my friends 127ft deep water well 80 to a 100ft from that pitt. And was told we had too have been trespassing to get those video's. Till we again showed him the over head footage angle of recording. Then he left with; it's Private property, the land owner can allow what ever he choose's on his or her own property. All this during thee Obama Administration. SOOOOOOO, why is this different? Why is it Okay for a Corp to violate human health and safety,, but a concerned taxpayer,, penilized for urinating on a country road side?

Ag exempt isn’t supposed to be allowed for pets. Horses only if they are race horses or for tending cattle.

Doesn’t any of this surprise me, considering what it cost to dispose of old tires. Put it this way. Let’s say the county dump ground charges $5 dollars a tire just to recycle one used tire with no rim. Now I do not know what Tarrant County charges to dispose of a tire. But at $5 dollars a tire for say 50,000 tires, (again not knowing the exact amount of tires) that comes out to $250,000 dollars so a quarter million in clean up fee’s that the land owner either does not want to pay or cannot pay. I’m going with the former, as they probably didn’t want to pay $20 for 4 tires, each time they dumped.
