i think for these early recordings i had it on 1x, for anything that has the background opacity though it's on 1.5x

@@KeltonTFThe track speed, yeah. The song is still played exactly the same and the notes are still played exactly the same, but they’re just more spaced out. Go to the Game Settings and at the bottom - in the Festival section - you can tune, change the track speed and the background opacity.

hard and expert are basically the same thing. I personally find Expert easier since the notes are wider and more spaced out. Whenever I play on hard my brain just can't process what's going on screen. Basket Case for example is so easy on expert compared to hard.

@@EpicTkoWko real! Only rhythm games I’ve ever played have been guitar hero/rockband, so I’m still trying to get used to the judgement timings. I’m trying to get higher on highway tune lead, but I’m stuck at around top ~75 cause I can never hit more perfects :/

@@colbyvi the judgements can be kind of brutal especially on songs with a lot of pull notes - I have no idea what the timing window is but it feels both fairly generous and extremely easy to slip from at the same time. doesn't help that there's no hitsounds and there isn't an easy way to tell if you're hitting early or late

Yeah this version of the song is actually a bit different than the original. A lot of the drum parts seem to have been altered by AI, Epic, or The Killers themselves. Like I just can't find the version of the song that has the drums exactly like this: 0:49 and 0:56

They are working on compatibility with instruments that will be introduced probably when they update the tracklist but they haven't confirmed exactly when that'll be

Spam it, you can treat them as a normal note. On the spaced out ones, i like to hold it down.

Slightly hold them down, the tiniest bit, like the other guy said, treat them as regular notes

I treat them like a normal note. When there’s practically no gap you can just press it like normal. Might not hit it with a ‘Perfect’, but it won’t give you a strike or anything.

I feel like trying this on a controller or keyboard is always going to be more difficult. With a drum set you can literally bounce off one beat onto the next one, but you can’t really do that with buttons.

They're pull/lift notes - you have to hold the previous note and then release on the triangle. They're a very fun part of the mode when you get used to them but I do think they need more intuitive visuals.

The score isn't legit. There's been a bug for a while where (IIRC) band overdrive counts for solo scores, and also scores are sometimes posted to the wrong instrument leaderboards. Nothing that can be done until Epic fixes it and removes any glitched scores like that, unfortunately.

​@@EpicTkoWkothat makes a lot of sense as to why there were some insanely high scores on like I on drums and bass but they aren't even FCs . Don't know if that was fixed already though, haven't checked.

yeah i genuinely cannot imagine trying to play this mode on controller kind of annoying that charts are seemingly designed with controller limitations in mind though, ie. you don't see chords that are on one side only - i completely get it but mannn i would like some more complex things to play

Yeah I do it on controller on expert best I can get for this song is 80% lol I've done it 5 times can't break 80 its so hard on controller

​@@EpicTkoWko it's actually not that bad on controller for the most part, I'm even using default settings and they're setup in a way that mostly makes sense, but some songs that do fast double notes (especially with singles in between) can be rough since you're usually using to different fingers or thumbs to press them. A good example is "Show them who we are" on Drums, the pattern isn't that bad until you reach the 2+3, 1, 2+3, 4, 1+3, 2, 1+3 pattern, for some reason I struggle hella to hit that even though I can mostly do everything else with good rhythm.
