in my opinion, absolutely nothing is same other than the loot pool (without the loot working the same way) and the map graphics, sounds, ui, all different, and that's what creates the "vibe" that chapter 1 had

I mean, I don’t understand why the fn community has so many crybabies. Chapter 4 was the best chapter because all the seasons in that chapter was good, and kado thorne was the best antagonist that fortnite has ever introduced because he was the one that bought us back to chapter 1

My main issues are, the rate of heals needs to be increased and traps need to be floor loot because it’s hard to appreciate their return when you have a 1/3 chance of getting the one you want from a supply drop and they drop in stacks of 1, fix those and you have a perfect season imo

@@Fnafan97I agree but I also think there needs to be a middle ground, because when you’re opening 15 chests and not finding minis and opening llamas and getting 3 grapplers, 2 boogie bombs and 3 impulses there’s an issue Imo

It makes me realize that I was right about what I thought the problems were. With all of them removed the game feels SO GOOD. I love it. I wish they would keep it forever.

As someone who didn't play in chapter 1, I can't say I get the hype. I know I'd feel different if I'd played back then, but as someone who started in chapter 2, this feels less interesting to me...? Like fortnite without any spices on it. That being said, I'm still having fun because fortnite is always fun (despite what people seem to think lol) and I am finding it pretty interesting to see what the old map was like! I'm also happy to see how much it means to those who played back then. Glad it's only for a month though lol

This season is absolutely unbelievable. In my opinion, there is no way they remove this season... we have hit PEAK players, New Records, Returning ICONIC Places and Iconic Streamers, Memories, and More this couldn't have gone better. We're home 🔥

imo i think it would be cool to just keep the og map and just add new poi’s and all that each season like they used to do. we dont need a whole new map again. they can continue the lore on this island

honestly I kinda love the heals just the way they are because I feel like we were privileged to an over saturation of them for a while and now that they’re so few and far between you actually have to strategize with your team about who needs what the most

i agree, i think bandages/grenades shouldn't be in chests since they're common so there's a slightly higher chance of getting shield, but the lack of heals definitely changes things up in a pretty good way. just not exactly when chug jugs are more common than big pots lol

Chapter 5 better have pumps and one shot snipers. I also love the lack of heals because it forces sweats to strategize.

Honestly I’m very intrigued with how Epic is gonna handle this. Initially I think their plan was “everyone wants the OG map back, they have for years. Give them back what they want, they’ll play for a little then get killed by sweats and get off, and we’ll go back down to our normal player numbers. Then we can just put the past behind us and look forward.” But here’s the thing, if I’m not wrong they have over a MILLION more players playing at a single time then they have in years, everyone is talking about the game again, and people are having fun. So I’m very interested in how Epic is gonna handle this, because at the end of the season if they just remove the OG map again, people are gonna just stop playing and they go down to their normal player numbers, or even lower. But if they keep the map…well we’ll just have to see.

I think making it a separate playlist like zero build would be a decent idea, if it ends up retaining players there shouldn't be an issue with player numbers

I’m totally ok with lack of heals and I think we were spoiled with them since C2… I mean from C2-4, we had so many external methods of healing… Slap Juice, Slurpy Swamp, fishing, vaults, etc

I agree with him on the shields and whatnot but yeah higher tier loot should always be rare, people were just used to being spoiled with full gold inventories from previous seasons

as someone who plays competitive theres parts of me who miss the old map and loot pool with movement etc.. but going back in time and being in loop with the fortnite lore. with me playing OG fortnite again, having nostalgia flowing back i agree with you that everything that happend till this point feels like "blips in my mind" and ive never screamed so loud after getting a win in a long time!!

Whenever I play I almost feel like crying. I was 13 when the map was last at this point, and I turn 20 next year. And the best part is I can still play with my friends from back then now. I’m reliving my childhood in real time

1:47 Bro we didn't have a lot of shields back then, as an OG myself I like it as it is. Also they did a great job with the map and other stuff but not with the skins (except for harbinger armor Omegarok).

I got 4 solo wins on the 1st day. I haven't done that since chapter 3 season 3 (one of my favorite seasons). I don't mind this leaving again though. People want it to stay for way longer I get it but move on, fortnite's big thing is change over and over. Who knows maybe in another 2 years a new time machine enters the story.

this season is just exactly what ive been asking for, for years. season 5 is my favorite season of all time. and when season x came out and they brought back og location this is exactly how i wanted it to be. some of the snow biome without overtaking flush greasy and shifty. keeping lazy risky and wailing, island loot lake. the event is us going back through old season by watching the end event happen again and its gonna teleport us thru time and allat. this season is just perfect. its EXACTLY what ive wanted for years to a fucking T and i just cant believe how perfect it actually is. its like they stripped it straight from my brain. the fact that its a mashup between 5 and 7 which are my 2 fav seasons. the event. everything is just great and ill always love epic for this

my only actual problem is that it needs its own chapter. part of what made chapter 1 special is theorizing what was the next big biome/map update. the ice biome hype for me was insane, my only issue is when i look forward a month from now I'm not theorizing about the next big update for the map i realise the map will be gone again. god i love ch1

For A While I Only Played Fortnite To Grind The Pass And Once I'm Done I Just Stop Playing The Game Until Next Season But This OG Season Is Honestly So Much Fun That I Want To Keep Playing And Playing. As someone who played back in the OG days, I love the map that being said the lack of shields and explosive spam/ quad spraying is really killing the season for me. I don’t wanna sound like a downer, but this season really makes me appreciate how much cooler/ better the new loot pools are

I hope if they don't keep it around after Dec. They will put into creative mode honestly. Seeing New map already been leaked for Dec. Even Save the World is breaking records in players it's kinda cool I also don't think it's the map that's great because it has issues, I honestly think it's the POVs, Sound affects & mostly just how SIMPLE the game feels again.

Haven’t touched this game in about a year and a half I’m going back and watching everyone I used to watch back then and I used to watch you all the time and the game has been the most fun it’s ever been loot pool is amazing (besides lack of heals EXCEPT CHUG JUGS OMG THERES WAY TO MANY) map is great and everyone is on
