Scrambler means someone is nearby simple as that and I never understood why the claymore thing wasn't just part of sit-rep pro 👊🏽

Scrambler could've been good if it worked immediately instead of gradually, in theory it could allow you to rush without a silencer

People forget in MW2's heyday, just how prevalent claymores were. Everyone used them, and even more ran OMA/Scavenger to replenish them after a kill. Once you got it upgraded, Scrambler Pro was a godsend to simply run past the claymore and kill the camper, and the amount of deaths avoided by a stray claymore in general cannot be understated. Yes there are better perks at T3, no argument, but for a close range rushing class its very usable, and in some lobbies was downright mandatory, no matter how good the other yellow perks were.

The problem with scrambler is that it scrambles radar gradually, enemies can easily tell how close you are. Scrambler should act like a personal counter uav. It makes Enemy radar blacked out instantly when you are in range.

We used to full lobby scrambler rust /smaller maps. It's like a constant Cuav. But other than that it's absolutely useless

I think the one Reason to pick Scrambler is on the Map Skidrow. In the Middle of the Map, all Claymores "denied" and counter the Uav in the Hallways. For me the Best Situation for Scrambler

Takes me back to the times when my squad and I would run scrambler as a full team on 6v6 and ground war. The lobbies after the match were hilarious

Reasons I like scrambler: A lot of times, ppl throw hard when their precious radar goes off and they're reliant on their weak skills. On multi level stages like high rise, it totally throws off ppl when they think so hard that sb is near them. Claymore camper seething

I think to use scrambler most efficiently, you should definitely get rid of the suppressor on your gun and swap it out for another attachment. Given the fact that scrambler jams the radar, you shooting a gun without a suppressor won’t show up on a map (from a distance you generally care about) since it’ll be blocked. Idk, add extended mags or a red dot instead

It’s definitely not a good perk to use when going for Nukes, but it does have utility for your team. With Marathon, Lightweight & Scrambler, you can charge in and confuse the hell out of the enemies to let your team advance. I’d argue that Last Stand is only useful for trolling (offing yourself with your own stuns 😂)

Its proximity based too, it slowly jams the radar so there’s no way to confuse it for counter uav. You will also assume that your claymore won’t stop them from flanking, once you hear it click it’s time to turn around.

They should have made that as soon as an enemy is in range it completely blocks the radar on the spot, and not slowly jamming as you get closer or further. That actually works against you

Imagine a whole team of players using scrambler, maybe they expected you to utilise it in this way so you can fuck the enemy up

The positive I can take from it it is if someone calls a UAV and you are in a kill streak when they are near you the radar jams which could buy you a few more seconds to get that kill needed for a Nuke. That’s about it

I feel like if anything it should have immediately scrambled within a certain distance instead of fading in so you don't know how close you are to the enemy. Regardless, still a trash perk lol

I think scrambler was meant to be used as a way to make a push with your teammates. Combined with smoke grenades maybe?

It's a rushing perk and camping perk, like rush in a building from the top or bottom people don't know where you, you can also hold a building by moving around and confusing players, they look at the radar you pop em or they look for you and then run into your traps. It's a nice tool imo, stack with scavenger, and idk stopping power for well stopping power for quick interactions.

It would’ve been good had they have made that persons radar IMMEDIATELY go off (like jammer from BO1) and increased the range, the claymore effect was good because of how many people were using OMA claymores. But the fact that it gradually came on just gave you away lol.

The only "good" use from scrambler is if you use it while being in a building with mutiple floors which means the enemy wont know on which floor you are on exactly

If Ninja was silent footsteps and claymore delay, then I could see it being useful for weeding out campers.

Maybe it would have been better if it scrambled the radar of close enemies while they were using a uav. Like a sudo ghost.

I just picked up an XBox One since they reopened the servers, I havent played since BOPS2 and I always played on PlayStation. The difference in the controller is brutal. I cant aim for shit! I maintained a 2+ KD on every game on PlayStation. Oh well still having a blast playing the old games.

I loved this perk when a camper with claymores would try to lock down areas. Switch to my Scrambler class and walk right passed them and shoot them campers in the back. Or wait for them to turn around then knife em. 😂🤣😂
