We'll likely see a RC790 in the future to go against the RS660 and R7. But I've heard talks of CFMOTO having plans on releasing a V4 Superbike. CFMOTO owns KTM, obviously the engineering R & D has to be done in Austria. I think KTM might be supplying that motor and working on one of their own. Once it's finished they'll put it in a V4 superbike and CFMOTO will use that engine to develop a bike of their own. Just speculation tho.

I love the new cbr600rr, but i can't justify swapping my 2014 cbr600rr for the new one, when the old one is already so good, and i already have it. Having had a Ducati 749s and 748r, i love my middleweight twins, but I'm not keen on the panigale v2. And I live for sportsbikes but don't see the point of 1000cc nuclear hand grenades that are too powerful to ever use. Price is the bit I'm scared of. Knowing me I'll be forced into a second hand one if its much more than the cbr But i like what i see so far.

This is the bike I've been waiting for. I own an sv650s and an sv1000s so it's pretty evident I love the twins lol. The sv650s is perfect for throwing around in twisties but I just wish it had a little bit more power so I got the sv1000s but the handling on that bike is sub par. With so many middle-weight twins in the market I've been waiting for a modern big twin sportbike that actually handles well and this is looking like my dream bike. The torque of a 1000 supersport but the gearing and power of a 600 is the perfect road bike in my opinion. Here in New Zealand most of our twisty roads are tight, sharp, blind corners so very technical riding as opposed to long open sweepers with lots of vision, an I4 superbike just doesn't make sense here.

As Hp is a derivative of torque. If they can increase this engine’s redline up by at least an additional 1,500 rpm then it will be something special.
@noblaw75953 ай бұрын
They won't. He specifically said they're not going to chase high horsepower AND that they don't want to risk making the engine unreliable. How can you hear that and say "wow let's hope for 2,000 more rpm and huge power !"
@marcusgeorge18253 ай бұрын
@@noblaw7595 You didn’t pay much attention to this did you as the rev limiter has been increased by 1,500 rpm and still safe and reliable. As an ex Australian Superbike Racer, these engines get pushed way further as you’re not chasing 10’s of 1,000’s in engine reliability, just max performance. So as a road bike come race bike it’s safe. When converted to a track only weapon the max revs will be lifted further which is basically what has been happening for 100 years. OMG.

Yes this is the sweet spot for a fast road / track bike. But it seems like it’s just come full circle really. It’s a litre bike with a power output of about 130 bhp (im Guessing??) That’s like superbikes at the end of the 90s! Now the top bikes have all gone mental in capacity and power output. They’re awesome, but stupidly quick and expensive, and now we’re talking about these ones as “super-sports”bikes. Which is what we called 600s back in the day. So yes - looks ace. A fast 1000c V twin race-inspired bike. They were good back then and still are!
